Comments Thread For: Katie Taylor Named The Most Marketable Boxer In The World

London-based media company SportsPro released its annual list of the most marketable athletes in the world on Monday, and Taylor was ranked No. 47 - the first boxer to appear on the list.

      Lol

      She fights like amateur

throws hands really fast and ‘hopes for the best’

      Reminds me of Amir Khan

her resume is legit but I’m not as impressed with her as I want to be

She’s the womens p4p number 1 for a reason. She has one of the best styles I’ve seen from a women. Throws clean crisp shots, she’s deserving of any award she receives.

I'm confused at this lmao?!?!?! Man it's hard to say your left leaning with this crap. Totally just trying to win PC points with that rating. So she commands bigger purses than Aj, Canelo, and Fury...nonsense.

Like her or not, without Katie, women's boxing wouldn't even be a second thought right now.

She's changed the face of the sport. Fair play.

That is an accurate statement as far as women's boxing goes. What is not accurate is saying women's boxing is more marketable than men's.

At this point in time that is simply and totally false.

Who said women's boxing is more marketable?

All the buzz for Katie Taylor's next opponent, Karen Carbajal, only strengthens this argument. For some reason, however, I read the name Amanda Serrano in all the recent reports regarding Taylor's next lightweight title defense -- could the media be wrong?
