Devin "huggy" Haney, sorry but you'll always be associated with that lunge and hug when Linares had you on ***** street. Beating basic Kambosos twice does not make you all world beater yet.

Haney is a good technical boxer. He is usually bigger than everyone at that weight class. HOwever he gets schooled by Stevenson. I think Davis, Garcia, knock him out. Loma school shim too. He is a holder and he gets hit way too easy. He doesnt have a great chin, Too basic would get bewildered by someone with better speed. Kambosos were good wins but George is more of a jr lightweight and Haney is more of a jr. Welterweight.

You won your titles by beating Abdullaev and Kambosos. That doesn’t make you an elite fighter never mind best in the world.
Haney is gonna have his Maidana moment sooner rather than later.

Haney got gifted a WBC title versus a fringe contender in Abdullaev then unified with a lower end top 10 guy in Kambosos. Belts don’t mean sh** in the modern era, there are so many manufactured champions.
I give him credit for betting on himself and going on the road twice but beating Kambosos doesn’t give you P4P status. It doesn’t even prove you’re an elite fighter. Let’s be real, Loma, Tank even Ryan Garcia would absolutely smoke Kambosos.
He’s not even the best Lightweight in the world never mind best fighter in the world. Lightweight is in a similar position to 115, the best fighters aren’t necessarily the guys holding the belts.

Well at least I can say that he has definitely made a case for being P4P on Saturday night; By fighting Kambosos in his own backyard for the second time in a row while dominating and nearly stopping him in a more convincing fashion than the last time.

I guess we'll know how true this is if others at 135 refuse to fight. Will Tank fight him? One would think he would want to be a champion again. Shakur is moving up, will he want Haney? Loma making his comeback, will be go right for Haney? If all of them want Haney, will Haney fight them or price himself out? Or insist they need to fight opponent A, B, and C before getting their shot? 2023 should answer these questions. For now, he gets credit for going overseas twice to beat the undisputed champ and defend his titles there. I doubt Tank or Shakur would ever have done that.
