It’s interesting to see how differently people judged this fight. I was pretty sure that Mayer was the rightful winner, but maybe I was too focused on the way Alycia’s head was getting snapped back so often throughout much of the fight. Maybe I neglected to see most of the good work that Baumgardner did?? Might have to watch the fight again to double check my initial thoughts.

Why bother watching it back? I never get people who watch a fight back and score it. It already seems like you care too much to be objective

When Marshall hits her opponent, their demeanour usually completely changes and it’s not really a surprise because women’s boxing is full of feather fisted fighters and she has genuinely heavy hands, so it must be a shock and something they’re not really used to
