The difference for Shields in this fight, which I didn't anticipate, was her speed. Her speed won her this fight because Marshall struggled to get that timing down. Speed kills.

Well, there we go. You never know what the judges like. Shields did land the flashier shots, but Marshall should have won in my opinion. She took over the last half of the fight.

I imagine that was the hardest fight Claressa has had. Savannah kept coming, even when she was getting pinged about.

I said before the fight this was the most obvious outcome ever. Marshall was being hyped up to sell the fight - everyone who wasn't a fanboy knew Shields would win. I am British but I felt too many Brits were just saying Savannah would win because she was British. it felt very weird!
