THANK YOU! People seem to be forgetting that Floyd started
at 130 and moved all the way up tp 154. As soon as he beat
the bigger Oscar, all of sudden he lost to an old Oscar? Oscar
was like 12 pds heavier than Floyd on fight night AND he had a
2in height advantage PLUS the gloves Oscar wanted AND ring
AND he had Freddie Roach in his corner AND he used Mosley as
a sparring partner to help him prepare for Floyd! AND he still lost.
BUT people dont want to give him credit they just bashed him
and try to say Oscar won when clearly he didnt. Haters always
say that their not going to hate if a fighter or someone does
this or that to please them BUT once its done THEN another
excuse pops up. I dont hate on NO fighters, I may have my
opinion but can see both aspects of the game pros and cons.
Many on here know that Im not a Cotto fan in particular but I
do see qualities in him and do bleieve he has a shot at beating
Manny. A lot of people that hate on Floyd cant even give him
props for anything he does in the ring and to me thats ridiculous.

anyone here not spar with a guy 2 wieght classes lower than you who is comprable in speed and not had the same result as floyd this weekend?
i have many times and i never went pro.

imagine a guy 15 lbs lighter, 3-4 inches shorter with slower hands and no power or pop.

floyd was impressive only in the fact that he has stayed sharp during his time off.

the result and fight were easily expected.

shane wants to fight floyd now, and floyd keeps putting it off. it'll be big money not because floyd has a big fan base but because they want to see him get his ass beat. it would've been nice to see him fight oscar in the 90s when oscar was stil the GOLDEN BOY and not a promote/fighter. anyways i think that would be the most comepetive fight out there i think shane and floyd. berto i don't think is ready for a boxer of floyd's caliber and cotto well he needs to get past manny which i think he will cause of his size and power. paul williams is too big for floyd the ring isnt big enough for floyd to work him. but floyd still hasn't proved that he deserves to take that #1 spot from manny. say what you want to say but manny's style knocked out hatton in the second round, if floyd was more aggressive he would be considered a great fighter not just a technical boxer, and he would also have a bigger fan base. when he first started his pro career he was out there knocking guys out given they were nobodys but when he moved up to the better fighters and prize fighters he stopped fighting and started being ok with just scoring points and winning that way. yeah but its true oscar was old and shouldn't be fighting anymore. i don't give credit to manny for the oscar fight either. the point is with guys like an undefeated cotto, paul williams at ww, and even margarito there. he chose an old pretty much done for oscar de la hoya. yeah its a business and oscar was the cash cow but when is boxing gonna go back to the best fighting the best to find out who really deserves to be called #1. and not worry about who gets the lion's share. thats all floyd seems to worry about now a days.beating jmm the way he did didn't prove that he's better than manny, shane or miguel. it just proved that he can beat a smaller OLDER guy.
