DOnt normallly hear SSM talk like this, so he must be angry.
But the year lay off didnt really effect PBF because he was against someone who was not in his weight class so reflexes werent there to trouble PBF.
If PBF was in with someone real sharp, then he would have had troubles.

Arum has made an offer to Mosley to fight Mayweather at a weight of 137 pounds. But the 27-year-old Mosley has outgrown the 135-pound division and has been struggling to make the weight. He was dehydrated against John Brown in his last fight in April in which Mosley stopped Brown. Even though he got down to 135 pounds at the weigh-in for the fight, he ballooned to 151 pounds by the time he entered the ring.

"I can't make these guys fight," said an exasperated Mayweather, who had hoped to face Wright in what would have been one of the year's most intriguing bouts instead of what will turn out to be nothing more than a glorified exhibition.

Former lightweight, welterweight and super welterweight champion Shane Mosley was offered a bout against Mayweather, but declined.
Mosley said he wanted a couple of tuneups, but said he'd fight Mayweather next year.

Kostya Tszyu isn't sure he'll fight again. His conqueror, Ricky Hatton, turned Mayweather down before money was even discussed.

Oscar De La Hoya has mentioned Mayweather, but said he won't consider him until late 2006.

That's around the time when Top Rank promoter Bob Arum said he'd be willing to put young and promising Miguel Cotto in against Mayweather.

There were others, including undisputed welterweight champion Zab Judah, but they couldn't come close to contract terms.

And boxers know there are two ways to get out of a fight: simply by saying no, as Hatton did, or by asking for more money than promoters will be able to pay.

You definitely have short term memory loss. Williams just offered
Mosley a fight for a career high payday and Mosley turned it down,
correct? Didnt Williams call out Miguel Cotto after the 2nd Quintana
fight BUT did Cotto fight him? NO, he opted to wait for Williams to
leave the division and fight for the same WBO belt Williams had
VACANTLY. So please tell me...... Why all the pressure on Floyd
to fight Williams WHEN Cotto AND Mosley BLATANTLY ducked
Paul Williams? The only reason you want to see Floyd fight Williams
is because YOU and others think that he has a chance to beat Floyd
and YOU and others would like to see him lose. Floyd would totally
          annihilate Andre Berto.

See that is the thing. When it comes to Floyd dudes like us
have documented proof to back up our claims but others dont
and just make things up to fit their opinions. Im glad you posted
this because it gets quite irritating to read so much fiction when
it comes to Floyd Mayweather Jr. I think Mosley wants to build a
rep up off of having people think Floyd is scared of him BUT its
clear through the Sport of Boxing and documented that Shane
Mosley didnt want it on several occasions. NOW Mosley is at
the end of his career and wants to go out and get totally beat
up and out classed. Just like Emmanuel Steward said after Vargas/
Mosley 2, There really is no big difference with Shane in regards
to Floyd, he really doesnt have to much pros over Floyd. If anything
Floyd has the better skills and Mosley just has a punchers chance,
which is neutralized because of Mayweather defense. I want to
see the fight just to see Mosley lose and hear what he has to say
            next.

i think hes doing it to trigger mayweather.

because if mayweather says yes, then shane gets what he wants,

but if he refuses, then mayweather will be labeled as afraid of shane

EXACTLY! He wants people to believe Floyd is scared
of Shane BUT history and documentation proves Mosley
                  WRONG.

No I don't, I want to see Floyd fight the best, by claiming he is the best WW, he called out all the other top WWs, I'm sure he can beat Mosley, Cotto and Williams but they all have a chance of beating him, Cotto and Mosley have ducked Williams, but Floyd has ducked all of them, Williams called Mayweather out after the Tony fight, do you remember that? If he was relevant or not, he was still a champ at WW, yet Mayweather still ducked him, and Berto will lose to all of them, but he could have been Floyds tune-up instead of a LW, but I guess you don't want to see Floyd fight the best and just agree with him claiming to be the best.
