Personally, I don't mind the hugging. It is what it is. Not a few do it, and the ref does nothing about it. What I'm disgusted seeing is this ducking below the belt level. It looks so unprofessional and so coward looking. I don't see many fighters adapting it as another defensive tactic. Such style just means you're terrified of getting countered and can't last even in 3 seconds of exchanges.
