floyd will move into the #1 spot when he truly beats a real challenge at his own weight. meaning a true welterweight that'll blow up to th 154 - 160 mayweather probably was at fight night. Marquez only weighed in at 148 fight night cause he probably didn't take a **** that day. honestly i don't see how anyone can say he is truly back. reason why manny and jmm were such close fights is cause of styles and they're close to the same size ( manny is the smaller of the two) and if floyd was so dam good he would've knocked out jmm. manny knocked him down three times in their first fight which i think manny won one of the judges scored the first round 10-8 HOW! jmm got knocked down THREE TIMES. anyways. if jmm wouldve of beat floyd it wouldve been amazing accomplishment cause floyd is good but not good enough to put him #1 specially after this fight. if he would've beat shane, or miguel or even berto then yes put him in that #1 spot, but not for beating a much smaller man that even tho he was beating so easily he still wouldn't stand with marquez and trade. So a great boxer yeah you can make that argument but a great fighter? HELL NO! not even close.

Not bias?!! LOL!!! Do you mean NUT BIAS?!!! This article is the dumbest worst nuthugging article i've read about the Mayweather-Marquez fight. So this moron thinks the difference in weight is only 4 lbs. 146 to 142 my ass. On fight night Marquez was 148, Mayweather did not allow the HBO people to weigh him because he was weighing around 160 lbs. This joke of a writer should be castrated. No wonder he didn't see how much bigger Mayweather is than Marquez that night, he was on Floyd's balls all night. I'm surprised this idiot is allowed to write about boxing.

This was a really bad piece of writing devoid of any real facts. Real amateur stuff here. How do you not see things about Mayweather Pacquiao could take advantage of? How about the fact he doesn't throw combinations which would give Pac a chance to outwork him? How about one of Mayweather's best punches, the leap in left hook, not being as effective against a fast southpaw who can throw a pretty good counter right hook now? How about the fact Mayweather still goes into his defensive shell too often which would allow Pac to tee off with accurate, damaging punches? How about the fact the last guy Mayweather fought that could compare to Pacquiao, Zab Judah, having pretty good success against Mayweather?

We see how Floyd Mayweather fight. He got skills, speed and even the weight advantage but he should come back with a **** by knocking down Marquez or simply asked someone to fight him with his same size or bigger opponent.

Why he just can't answer the question when he was asked if why he chose Marquez as his opponent and why he didn't follow the maximum weight limit instead chose to violate it?

For me, Pacquiao is still number one and Mayweather should need to do a lot of things to regain the reputation.

                  Yes, it is.

Believe it or not; there's more to a fight than who won a fight. The manner in which a fighter wins means a lot; and that's where I agree with the article. Floyd might not have been fighting the most dangerous opponent in the ring... but 100% dominated him. At no point in the fight did Mayweather look touchable.

People can complain about his opponents all they want but it doesn't detract from his abilities in the ring. If you watch his fights and think he's anything but the best fighting in the ring today then you're crazy. It's not an insult to pac to say that Floyd's abilities in the ring are unmatched.

Without dipping my toe into the message boards and other fan forums since the final bell of his fight with Juan Manuel Marquez Saturday night/Sunday morning, I can pretty much assume that as a prevailing sentiment.

                      But you know what?

He's a real-life Satan incarnate who can, ahem... fight like hell.

In pitching an absolute, complete and comprehensive shutout of Marquez – the critics' pre-comeback choice as the world's No. 2 fighter – in his first ring action since 2007, the Pretty Boy now known as "Money" has answered one question with dominant certainty.

He, and not Manny Pacquiao or any other 21-month stand-in, is the world's best fighter.

                      Don't believe it?

Watch the tape. Or re-watch it, as the case may be.

And over the course of 36 minutes, find me one thing that says otherwise.

                      One flaw. One error.

One ***** in the armor that truly indicates – regardless of the fact different styles make different fights – Pacquiao will do any better when he gets his chance next year.

But before you do, though, I'll save you all a little time.

                      Don't bother.

                      It doesn't exist.

Nowhere in a stretch of 12 rounds did Marquez do one specific thing or take one specific tack that caused the unflappable 32-year-old even a moment's worth of consternation. [details]
I Hope Pac doesn't give Floyd the time of day so Floyd would either fight Legit WW or retire.
You defend Floyd like he's your woman! A man stepped up to another man. Sounds like you wanna say "Don't you touch my baby!"
You act like this was a great victory over Marquez.
I heard many people enjoyed the after-fight more than the "fight". At least they got something for their money.

If I were a Floyd fan I would be sitting there saying "Floyd tear that azz up" but you Floyd diciples do not require anything or want to shut people up.
He is a man, stop defending him he can defend himself!
If he is fighting for money only fine, just say it but don't claim to be the best at WW when that has yet to be proven and you don't look lilke you have any interest.

There is only fight left for Floyd before he has to go into deep waters and that is Pac, so I guess you Floyd fans better enjoy him while you can because that maybe his last fight.
