You know you look off the back of there’s a lot of fighters Chris that have come off performances you know in the pandemic, through the pandemic, they looked a little bit flat. You look at Dmitry Bivol you know against Craig Richards and before that against Castillo, those performances didn’t tell you that, that form would beat Canelo Alvarez.
Another video of Hearn saying the SAME EXACT THING to Bivol!!!

    TL;DR

Eddie didn't think Bivol was that dangerous at all and a ready to be picked. Oh wait, Roy Jones Jr arguably the GOAT says the same thing?

Ward sounds honest and truthful. YDKSAB, facts.

Ward should have fought a 11-0 Beterbiev but was scared and retired? Are you fucking kidding me???

Wrong again, Cleneloterol started at 140 and without the fixes should have 6 losses. YDKSAB, facts.

You might as well put Leon Spinks as an ATG because he beat Ali at the very end of his career veggified lmao.

Just very disappointing hearing Ward talk like this.
Lost to GGG the first two fights, lost to Lara, lost to Jacobs. Trouts best win was an old and overstuffedCotto. Callum and Saunders are Eurocans, Plant is green. YDKSAB.

    It's so much innit?

      The Smith's, Saunders, Plant.

Alvarez does have fighters at their peak or sort of on his resume. But Smith, Saunders and Plant? Would of been straight forward easy defenses for past Champions like Carl Froch, Joe Calzaghe and Andre Ward at 168 pounds.

Just imagine what Carl Froch would of done to Liam Smith? Froch would of completely blown him out of the water.

Liam Smith was in and around his peak, but he was forced into the Alvarez fight with 'Sub optimal preparation'. 5-6 weeks is not enough time to set up a tailor training camp for such a big fight etc.

Still it was clear Alvarez would of beaten him regardless, it was time for Liam Smith to move up in weight.

Ward is a disgusting jealous pos he hates the fact that canelo(a non black guy)surpassed his weak ass resume years ago. But for a grown man to pop up on TV hating on another man non stop is embarrassing he's joke irrelevant now and only stays in the news by bashing canelo.

**** ward the guy was an overrated bum who lost to Kova and has zero wins over any great fighters. Period!!!

People forget the real boogy man at 168 was calumn smith not Benavidez. We all know Canelo demolished him. Once Canelo beats benavidez, the new boogy man will be Morrell and Canelo will “duck” him too lol.
I agreed with you about Ward been a hater. But, canelo wasn't going to fight benavidez. When he moved up to 168lbs, benavidez was the champ, and stated, canelo, that he wasn't going to fight any "Mexican". We all know that most of the best fights for the past 60, 70 years, has always been between mexicans, or a Mexican has been involved. For the record, benavidez was born in USA, Arizona if I recall correctly, he might not speak Spanish correctly.

I still have a feeling that Ward will return to challenge Canelo. Their is alot of money that can be made in that fight. Canelo will be out at least a year, giving Ward plenty of time to get back to form. I think Canelo would rather face Ward ,than the young sharks who are smelling blood.

Well timed challenges for sure. Mayweather was 36 when Canelo fought him...ooops. Missed that one, but if he could have pulled it off, especially if he could have knocked him out he'd have made even more money for himself, and ODH. GGG was 35 when they first fought and while still great, was showing signs of slipping, needing judges to decide his fights and not on a 23 fight KO string any longer. Kovalev wasn't the fighter he was but still had the same name. JC Chavez Jr. was never great but still had his dads name. Canelo, by the way, had no problems fighting Mexicans then. Must be a new malady. A lot of the greats have done this, SRL, Mayweather, even Tyson. Face it, if anyone has to go right to their limit every fight they wouldn't have a very long career, or life for that matter. These are management decisions mostly, and they like to protect their cash-cows.

Yep. Everyone hating on Canelo fighting Euro champs sure were fingering themselves to Ward and his Euro run of Froch, Kessler, etc.

Ward was a safety first fighter. He wants to talk careful match ups, look at himself in the mirror. He had an opportunity to fight Dawson for the lineal light heavy title but instead decided to drain him to defend his super middle titles.

He then spent 4 years out of his prime fighting complete bums. Then a whole 5 years after the super six tournament he gets a gift win over an aging Kovalev with the public demanding a rematch and he punches him literally 5 times a row in the balls and the ref waives it off and calls it a knock out. what in the *** was that. At least canelo beat Kovalev legitimately.

Ward is naturally much larger than Canelo. Yet which one of them fought a legit light heavyweight champ that was in their prime? Canelo was the only one with the balls to do that. When Ward was offered the chance with dawson, he drained him down to 168.

Canelo rec is better than ward to be fair and square even though ward retired 'undefeated'.
