Doesn't make it ok in other sports but at the end of the day it's much much worse in a combat sport where people do die from time to time from getting punched in the head. From my experience and the people I've known I'm of the opinion that at the top level "most" everyone is on gear in all pro sports. And as technology advances I think being "on gear" is a much grayer area in modern times than it maybe was in the past. People who piss hot are just getting caught because they don't cycle off in time. When half the bubble butt chicks taking toilet Instagram selfies at your local LA Fitness are on gear you're going to tell me a pro athlete making millions isn't? Especially when they know everyone else they're competing against is? And no I'm not one of those people who just dismiss someone's hard work and talent as "genetics and steriods" to feel better about myself because I'm fat and lazy. But it definitely makes a difference. Very interesting article. Like everyone else I'll be curious to see how the situation is handled.

        Those aren’t the only questions.
        1. What are the BBBoC going to do to stop this ever happening again?
        2. Will they and the other boxing authorities investigate Benn’s previous fights and deem them null and void?
        3. Was this part of a one-off strategy to compete with a naturally bigger rival or the normal training regime which has been used for every fight?
        4. Will Benn’s gym and training team be investigated and sanctioned?
        5. What is it that VADA do that UKAD don’t?
        6. Will the promoters have their licenses revoked?

Yeah I can co-sign that, especially given the fact that out of nowhere Benn became a wrecking ball after looking very mediocre. Benn will forever be seen as a dirty fighter who could have killed people due to ped usage. And his promoter had a history of covering for ped users under his banner, and for that matter the governing U.K. boxing commission should be investigated as well for encouraging him and letting fights like the Rivas fight go ahead. This whole affair really brings to light the corruption and ped use in boxing and issue after issue in a certain market. Dazn really needs to clean up its product

It’s kinda wild how Eubank Snr, Jnr and Benn Snr have all given an opponent life changing brain injuries.

It'd be a funny day if that was a reason for promoters to be banned from boxing there'd be no one left...

Every outfit has drug cheats in them and if they keep them about they're supporting it and you can deny that but you're just being intellectually dishonest doing so.

Outstanding. Why aren't there more REAL Boxing fans like this on this site? Too many trolls here with abandonment issues looking to scummy PED users and politicians for security and racial validation.

Eddy has made side deals, to cheat Pedraza out of his purse. Commission shopping for Chavez Jr, when Nevada refused. Midnight meetings with UKAD and the BBBofC when Whyte peed hot. Making out like Benn is a Saint. I could point out more, like the 24 foot ring in the Sahara. The privilage is strong in this one.

I defended Benn from the beginning of this, but now I'm not so sure to be honest.

If he knowingly took something, or if Dr Sajjad is dodgy, then really, so disappointing that they do this.

Benn is young and strong and in his physical prime, with God given punching power inherited from his dad Nigel. There's no need to take a ped, so it really is ******. And all the millions he could've made from the fight.

Maybe he still can, but let's see the B sample and get to the bottom of this.

Great article, Tris. THIS is true journalism.

Vitamins and supplements are all performance enhancers. The only thing that makes one legal, and another not, is which pharmaceutical giant is winning.

If it can be made, it can be sold.

Bypass the legal drama by advertising it as one thing, and profit by selling it to the experts who know it's real purpose who then sell their services to someone with millions on the table.

Most, if not all, major PEDs will eventually be legal in some way or another. Audiences just don't care enough.
