BoxingIQ (yeah right). WTF are you talking about? You started off ok until you said normal vitamins are PEDs. PEDs are illegal for a reason. Vitamins aren't, also for a reason. What are you, an idiot? And why did you post your nonsense 3 times??! Once was one time too many.

No it doesn't. I'm tired of the ignorance from the boxing media on this.

Steroids don't make you hit harder.

I'm not defending steroid cheats - ban them all - but the kind of pearl-clutching from the boxing media is irksome because it's dishonest and untrue.

A boxer isn't going to hurt another boxer in the ring because he used steroids. Ever. Period.

It's never happened because it isn't possible. You hit hard, or you don't.

Eddie Hall, one of the most roided men in history, tried his hand at boxing. His opponent ate the shots like they were nothing.

Clomifene isnt a "masking agent" nor does it "raise testosterone"

its used for post cycle therapy.

this information is also readily available online.

If these "sports writers" are going to talk about PEDs atleast spend the time to understand what you are writing about

steroids make you perform better. if you are older they extend your performance into older age, that is why there are so many older fighters. they increase endurance and help recovery time. they do all kinds of things. the entire point of boxing is to hurt your opponent, to say steroids wouldnt help you due that is absurd and even when talking pure power of course it can increase it and more certainly it can incease your power in the late rounds with better conditioning.

i do agree with some of your idea that steroids helps beyond just muscle mass or purely on punching power and nothing else. or that steroids main benefit would be directly increasing punching power.

This has been going on since time immemorial. Perfect time to write about it even though the writer has been in this business for decades. I don't see him going this far in America's cases.

Great article, Tris. THIS is true journalism.

Vitamins and supplements are all performance enhancers. The only thing that makes one legal, and another not, is which pharmaceutical giant is winning.

If it can be made, it can be sold.

Bypass the legal drama by advertising it as one thing, and profit by selling it to the experts who know it's real purpose who then sell their services to someone with millions on the table.

Most, if not all, major PEDs will eventually be legal in some way or another. Audiences just don't care enough.

That's the real question. Why only now?
There's nothing unique in all of these cases.
Or you can say they're all unique in their own way.

I have yet to see this writer write one case in the US
in which there are too many to count.

                      11. Why did Conor Benn not sign up to the Clean Boxing Program and happily lose his WBC ranking a year ago?
