BBBofC used UKAD. Passes UKAD testing, fails VADA, VADA aren't officially involved in the fight but require registration for WBC rankings...

Why don't BBBofC just defer to VADA when a fighter is ranked by the WBC? Would prevent this kind of mess, no? Maybe not. Like I said I still don't get it.

Well there are technicalities and everybody involved wants to get paid, not lose money but I'm glad the BBBoC are refusing to sanction it. The integrity of the sport should be a priority.

These aren't heavyweights. Benn is coming up in weight and facing a bigger guy and the stuff is out of his system at this point so it was only a benefit during training. It doesn't excuse cheating but at the same time I don't want to be robbed of this fight if Eubank Jr. is happy to move forward with it. There are also a lot of other fighters/people who will be losing money if this doesn't take place, not just Eddie Hearn. I think Eubank beats this kid up, vargina pills or not.

The real side story here should be how useless UKAD is and how this was supposedly known weeks ago but we're having to deal with lawyers 2 days before the fight instead of figuring this out like adults weeks ago.

only a benefit during training ? That’s the whole point. That’s a HUGE benefit of being able to train much harder for months. Those results show up big time on fight night. This fight shouldn’t proceed no matter how much fans don’t care about fighter health.

I would have been surprised if Hearn took any other position. He's dumped alot of money into this event and the tarnish is on his carefully manufactured house fighter. Did anyone think he was anything other than a slimy promoter only interested in himself? The casual fan quickly forgets about the nasal spray, wild boar meat, street tacos, herbal tea, etc.

So long as boxing is governed by sanctioning bodies and regional commissions this will continue to happen.
