Ofcourse Marquez Deserves to Lose his P4P Spot: He didn't Just Lose, He was OWNED!

Guys stop being ridiculous acting like Marquez battled Floyd to a tough SD or Draw like he did against Pacman. He got dominated and utterly owned 120-107. Mayweather won EVERY SINGLE ROUND and knocked Marquez down and hurt him bad. This isn't the type of outing a #2 p4p fighter should be having against ANYONE. I guarantee you that any other top 5 p4p fighter moves up 2 weight divisions and fights a top guy they will at least b competitive. Remember when Hopkins was p4p and DLH moved up to face him at Middleweight? DLH at least was competitive and arguably won most of the first 6 rounds according to many people until the freak kidney shot incapacitated him.
But here we have the arguable p4p #1 fighter Marquez moving up a mere 7lbs and he got UTTERLY OWNED and dominated 120-107. Floyd sort of EXPOSED Marquez and it's only right that he drops a ton of spaces and Floyd takes his #2 or #1 spot.

Unless they're being lobotomized, who really thinks Marquez was competition???

marquez is a great fighter but i agree with most of it i think mayweather could have ended him early but kept the fight going so he didn't make marquez look like a bum so general fans thought marquez actually stood a chance rather than looking like a bum getting koed in round 3 n making the public oh just another bum for him to beat when clearly he is not. though he was smaller he did get his ass handed to him. imo mayweather would beat pac just the same would be harder though and if he thought cotto he would beat cotto like he did baldomir only person who i think can beat mayweather atm is mosley its my opinion guys so dont cry

Well there you go. Point is, guys who are p4p are supposed to be the best of the best and moving up or down 7lbs in weight is not supposed to be such a dramatic move for them that they get utterly OWNED EMBARRASSED AND EXPOSED like JMM was by a 120-107 12 rounds to 0 + 1 knockdown score. If you're definitively p4p #2 and arguably p4p #1 in the world you better bet your ass that you should be able to move up a couple weight divisions and still be competitive.
Pac did it. Mayweather did it. How come JMM couldn't? Pac is still moving up from damn near minimum weight and yet still winning brutally. Mayweather moved up from 130 to 154 and still owned everyone he faced yet JMM can't move up and even be THE LEAST BIT COMPETITIVE??? And people expect him to retain his p4p ranking? What a joke! It wasn't the weight difference that made JMM 15% punch connect and Mayweather around 80% or more. It wasn't the weight that made him lose EVERY SINGLE ***in round. It was more SKILL DISPARITY. JMM deserves to drop as many notches in the p4p rankings as possible and Mayweather rightfully deserves the #2 or #1 spot.

I agree, JMM had to drop. The class difference was noticable, even with the size difference.

Mayweather deserves to be above JMM on the p4p list. Simple as that.

Floyd might have proved nothing but Marquez proved alot. He proved that he doesn't deserve to be in the top 5 of p4p because he wasn't able to adapt and be EVEN REMOTELY competitive against a guy that outweighs him by a mere few pounds. How come other POUND FOR POUND LEGITS can continuously move up and dominate or at least be competitive like Pac, Mosley, Mayweather but when Marquez moves up he gets ****d badly? He proved alot indeed, he proved he doesn't deserve his p4p spot.

He got owned? Alright, I guess you could say that. But will a true welterweight like Mosley get owned against Mayweather? Might have to think about that. I give Marquez all the credit for moving up two weight classes and trying at least, since that's not even where he should be fighting at.

I don't think he should of dropped to 5 though. Mayweather is a better fighter and should be higher than him but thats it. Juan should be 3 and no further than 4.
