Canelo has always fought the best available...that doesn't always mean the best according to divorced or soon to be divorced armchair boxing neophytes with man boobs and thinning hair or sanctioning bodies that sell three or four versions of their own belts in every weight class to the highest bidders...but the actual real best. Anyone who claims Canelo has avoided anyone or fought poor competition is a straight up hater with zero accomplishments in life, guaranteed.

Canelo is no longer a pure boxer. He’s a businessman now. He’s going to pick and choose his opponents with the least risk and until we as fans stop paying for this garbage, he will continue to do that. He’s at the back end of his career and he’s knows it and he’s going to make as much money as he can without getting hurt. Smart, right?
