He is a man without a company backing him. This is not ESPN where he was earning $4M guaranteed contracts from the network. This is the PBC; A place where there are no guarantees but only percentages.

Therefore, if a fighter wants to increase their purse then they are going to have to be wiling to go out there and sell enough pay per views and tickets at the live gate in order to do so.

Fox sports and Showtime Championship boxing doesn't have nowhere near the type of budget to spend on boxing the way ESPN does. This is a brand new business model for Terence Crawford. Both Top Rank and ESPN have spoiled him.

None of this is the issue. Crawford is getting no guaranteed money. Only a percentage of the net PROFIT. That makes him an investor. He wants oversight and transparency on the financials because technically a percentage of all spending is his money. PBC won’t give him that, which looks really really shady. It’s basically a joke. They’re basically admitting they screw fighters over.

As for your "what are his other options"...hes wbo champ, can move up and force the fighy with Charlo as the wbo allows and enforces
He doesn't have the leverage to demand or control anything. He is not a draw and the clear B-side here. Crawford just needs to sh-t or get off the pot already. Time to stop holding things up and actually fight.

As for Jermell Charlo...you do realize that he is with Al Haymon too? Negotiations aren't going to suddenly go his way there either.

How the hell is this non-PPV draw, B-side an investor now? For fvck's sake.

Devin Haney did it right. He dispensed with all the bullcrap, took the deal, then went and beat Kambosos' ass. Now he's the one in the driver's seat.

Stop cheerleading for the corporations. You've got one man standing against an entire system and you're in the crowd gleaming with your PBC jersey. Can't you see it's embarrassing?

How can you not stand with Bud Crawford?
Division champion, lineal, and undisputed don't mean squat when it comes time to divide the pie. The only thing that matters are your numbers and how much money you've been able to generate.

Which unfortunately for Crawford hasn't been that much, and everybody knows it since his old promoter talked publicly about losing money on him.

Spence is a brother too. Although I don't know what race has to do with it or why you felt the need to bring it up.

This still get done... Eventually. I have no issue with Bud asking for that say in the expenses since it will affect his backend money and he's already taken far less of the purse split. Worst thing they can do is say no but there can also be a compromise made. You can't get what you don't ask for.

I also think the fact that Spence wants this fight and to be undisputed really helps Bud in all of this.

Which means he could get zero dollars for this if the expenses equal the gross but the ******s and mcdonalds workers here don't get this.

And why is that? Most likely because Haymon knows a huge guarantee to both fighters is a big risk for him. Hardcore fight fans know these guys but neither are big mainstream names. This fight isn’t guaranteed a big PPV buy rate.
Crawford doesn’t have have any leverage here. His last promoter said he lost money on him and Hearn said DAZN isn’t interested as they don’t have a welterweight stable to match him with.
If he doesn’t take this deal who is he fighting and where?
Problem is Crawford is a top fighter but not a top box office draw. Shane he wasted so many years with Arum. Had he taken the right fights he could have been a big US star.
