It was a good win but let’s have some context

in Parker’s previous three fights he had a very very close fight with Junior Fa, a guy that got stopped by Lucas Browne in 1 round. Then he arguably lost to a faded Chisora, getting dropped in the process in the first round. Then he did beat Chisora.

it’s hardly the form of a top fighter though. I don’t consider Parker one of the top heavyweights these days.

but Fury beat the two longest reigning champs in decades for his belts, that counts for something. AJ beat guys that won titles from guys like Martin and Parker who only got them because Fury got stripped.

So Fury certainly has claim to be elite when it comes to beating champions that proved they don’t lose their belts easily. He schooled Wlad in Germany, then took out an undefeated Wilder in USA.

AJ made plenty of defences against 40 year olds and picked up easy titles. Lost them once to a fringe contender in Andy Ruiz, getting bounced around the ring on his first trip fighting abroad

You can’t really compare the two. The truth is there’s often not enough elite fighters around, so you can’t pin bring elite simply on how many elite fighters you beat. There’s other factors. Sometimes it’s how you are winning. Beating the two longest reigning champs in decades on the road is traits of an elite fighter.

AJ is not elite, never was. he’s a solid heavyweight, maybe top 5 still.

Anthony Joshua is a more experienced fighter than Fury at World Class and Elite level. All his defenses, wins and loses then avenged loses you are dismissively talking about? Is Joshua fighting at world class to elite level.

The Povetkin that fought Joshua, is a better fighter than Charr. The Pulev that fought Joshua is a better fighter than Charr. They were world class fighters. Povetkin years after he fought Joshua, miles outside his peak '****** of Dillian Whyte, a better version of Whyte than Fury fought'.

Kiltschko was in better condition for Joshua, than Fury. He has endured 3 back to back training camps, due to Tyson Fury pulling out of their fight 'Due to his circumstance'. Kiltschko was 240 pounds for Joshua, vs 245 pounds vs Fury.

Tyson Fury if you take Kiltschko & Wilder off his resume, his record is predominately fighting against fighters at Domestic to European level.

Tyson Fury's next fight is a European level fight AGAIN. Anthony Joshua's next fight regardless if he fights Fury, is against a World level fighter.

If Tyson Fury is to fight Joshua next, it is the first time since Kiltschko? That he is fighting another elite level fighter skill for skill. Wilder was a elite level fight, but not in terms of technical ability 'And that is no disrespect to Wilder, because I rate Wilder and he does have a good Jab'.

Anthony Joshua whether people like it or not has been a elite level fighter in this division. Any fighter that has the WBA, WBO IBF & IBO titles in a division is elite.

It does not mean he is better fighter on pure ability that Fury, but nobody can deny that he reached that level.

I ranked Tyson Fury as the number 1 Heavyweight now, but the reality is? That he is held to a low standard mate. Even now as a Champion he is being held to a lower standard than Anthony Joshua.

Joyce needs to build his earning power as well. Not sure either of Wilder, Fury, Joshua or Usyk are looking to fight him. Joyce's best chance will be Whyte or Chisora at this stage.

Usyk was undisputed @ CW and didn't have an easy time of it with Joshua. And although we question Wilder's level of competition and dimension, He was an undefeated champion before Fury. If Tyson weren't a giant, Wilder's power might have kept him down. That said, I'm amazed at Joyce's chin, power, stamina, accuracy and relentlessness. If he can maintain those attributes, I'm sure he will be a formidable threat to anyone in the division and will truly rise to elite status. But KOing Parker doesn't make him elite. It does make him a bad mofo though.
