Katie Taylor changed the face and money of women's boxing single handedly. Without her, this fight would be the first fight of the night on a Thursday card. Even Shields has been respectful of the impact Katie Taylor has made to women's boxing. Amanda Serrano would certainly never have been noticed.

On the future though, Marshall has the potential to make the world take notice - if she has the power to turn Shields into a meme.

Shields though is likely to win by outboxing Marshall, which won't really change her trajectory. Marshall will just be an overhyped prospect. Kinda lose, lose, but she's obviously getting paid better than she ever has before and headlining a big card.
