It won't happen, but if it did...
It's pointless, but then so was the third Fury v Wilder fight. The two fights produced a conclusive winner and we were pretty sure who would win the third fight. But it was still a big fight and turned out to be great entertainment.
If there are no big fights to be made, then this is still a big fight. I think Usyk has Joshua's number but there's always a chance in heavyweight boxing. And the two fights so far have been good watches.
I'd be disappointed that it's not an Undisputed fight... but I'd buy it. Just as I felt about Fury v Wilder 3.Comment

I'm fine with it. Give the people of Ukraine something to do other than, ya know, war.
It's not like the first two were boring or anything. Joshua still has a chance to win, and he's done enough as a champion. If he wants it and Usyk wants it I won't whine over it.Comment

just keep calling fury a coward & tell him hes letting everyone down by not delivering the fight, fury has been sitting on his fat ass for most of the year while usky has been in a war zone & fighting joshua, dumb fattieComment

It makes money because they can have a soccer stadium overflowing with fans. Easily filled with all the ticket sales. Probably within a week. Plus, AJ has a huge fanbase. People would tune in for the trilogy.Comment

Fury will fight in December and then in February? Really? And his stay busy fight is a stadium fight with AJ? This is his stay busy fight? Having followed Fury's career for a while now I do not trust anything he says to a point that if he is asked how many kids he has, I won't trust the answer.
so there is no “instead” with Fury. Fury said the whole point in fighting in December is to then fight Usyk in February or March if Usyk won’t fight in December. He wants to stay busy.
Why would Usyk fight someone else within these next six months if he is injured? That’s the reason he can’t fight in December right?
Fury isn’t ducking him, he said he’ll happily fight him early in the year, he just wants to stay busy in December if Usyk can’t fight then. He could’ve had that December date if he truly wanted it but he suddenly become “injured”, despite giving it all the big talk after the AJ fight.
And I have no reason not to trust Usyk saying he wants to heal his old injuries. Why wouldn't a 35 y.o. elite athlete not have injuries after a tough camp and fight with someone like AJ? And I trust Usyk - the guy not noticed in changing his mind every 5 minutes or eating "boar meat", unlike Fury. Fury is an excellent boxer and self-promoter, but he is ducking Usyk (waiting him out?) and I don't trust a word he is saying - it's literally pointless to listen to him.Comment

I don't know....even AJ's huge fanbase has to admit he lost twice and it wasn't close. Why would the outcome be different a 3rd time? I felt the same way about Fury wanting to fight Chisora a 3rd time. How can there be a market for it?Comment

1. War fronts move. Kiev never fell into Soviet hands anyway, but Ukraine's recapture of substantial territory recently has taked the frontline further away from Kiev (the Kharkiv counter-offensive retook more than 3000 square miles of territory)
2. Russia was hitting Kiev in the summer with Iskander ballistic missiles (they hit a shopping mall at one point containing around 1000 civilians), but reportedly they are running low and as a consequence, this isn't happening anymore. They have a lot of decades-old missiles, that may or may not be fit for purpose (probably not)
3. Joshua would never sign up for this fight in Kiev, nor would sports broadcasters be happy to go over to cover it. Even with points one and two above, you do not put on a sizeable sporting event so close to a zone of major conflict.Comment

Fury never said he fights in Dec then fights Usyk again in Feb/,March
