Because Hatton didnt want it , he wanted to fight Floyd for his title with nothing to lose ,,,,, what weight was Hatton on fight night against Castillo and what weight against Floyd ,,,,, same and Floyd was lighter lol .

I'm not all over the place, you are. When people think of Ray Leonard who the hell says hes ****Y?? LMAO. When they think of Jordan he is showered with superlatives and what is said of him? GREAT, COMPETITIVE but ****y?? LMAO. The comment about the money throwing PISSES WHITE GUYS OFF and I have 1st hand knowledge of this from a major Police ball where it almost shut the place down.
Secondly, Delahoya had a problem with Pacmns speed and that was the difference JUST like he had a problem with Floyds, speed, Pernells speed, Sugar Shane's speed (do you see a pattern? SPEED BOTHERS OSCAR). If you can fight you can fight PERIOD. As Leonard proved by going UP IN WEIGHT and crushing Donny Lalonde. As Leonard proved by going UP IN WEIGHT and shocking Hagler. As Roy Jones proved by going UP IN WEIGHT to win the Heavyweight belt. As Holyfield proved by going UP IN WEIGHT and winning the Heavyweight belt. Again, if you can fight you can fight PERIOD. Quit making excuses. Floyd is a great fighter so give him his due. Or if you don't want to do that then just bet against him and watch those pockets shrink. SIMPLE

The extra weight would have only benefitted floyd 2 ways, more power and more resilance to JMM punches.

JMM wasnt knocked out so obviously PBF wasnt so big and strong he couldnt hang with him.

JMM also didnt and a single meaningfull punch the entire fight. So you cant say PBF was so big he couldnt hurt him.

Ive also seen a few idiots coment about the reach advantage. Obviously youve never seen a Paul williams fight if you think floyd had a gross reach advanatge.
Because Floyd fought at the weight he was comfortable at and could perform, unlike Marquez. People will deny it because they think they're these Boxing gurus, but size indeed does matter in more ways than just being the heavier guy. Moving up in weight you have to consider if your power, speed, stamina, etc are all going to transfer.

Not to take anything away from Floyd because he looked spectacular, but JMM loses to Mosley, Cotto, Floyd, Clottey, and Berto also. It just is what it is.

Don't bother asking, most of these fanboys have never boxed and have been watching boxing since Pac started making it big( fighting dehydrated aging Mexican's) My guess is they love New England also. Wagon jumpers no facts may apply to cyclical thinking.

Pernell witaker and SSM did better against DLH when DLH was in his prime. DLH werent that great when PBF fought him, but DLH still took him to a draw. PBF should have done what Pac did. Like for like. You cant say the DLH pac fought wasnt as good as the one PBF fought. You would need proof and we just havent got that apart from maybe dlh was weight drained.
Listen to what it was like to fight Pac by DLH. He had never fought anyone with that kind of speed and movement.
ssm should have lost the second fight with odlh and the sd they gave floyd was a gift for oscar....9-3 or 8-4 ud for floyd easily

As a fan of the Detroit Bad Boy Pistons growing up, I always hated Michael Jordan, to be honest with you.

Jordan was so good and he had a ****y attitude on the court because he knew he could back it up.

Allow me to answer the multiple e-mailers who asked why, alone among America's pundits, I did not take Michael Jordan to task for his rather inelegant Hall of Fame acceptance speech last week.

Most said that in taking free shots at those he felt had done him wrong, he showed no class.

My question is, when did we decide Michael Jordan had class?

That is probably why his speech did not provoke me as it did others.

I do not dispute the critics. A lot of what Jordan said was uncalled-for.

I only say the image of Jordan as not just a great player but a class act was our creation, and not based much on tangible evidence.

                      He's been ****y for 25 years.
So why did we expect humility now?

                      Shall I continue?
