I see what he's done. He's a legitimately heavy puncher and I disagree his 280 pounds is because he's out of shape - he carries that weight ok. He's just setup to hit hard and absorb punishment, not to run marathons. But anyone who can avoid him will beat him.
There is no logical reason for him to weigh the weight he does. He isn't in shape, most current heavyweights aren't in shape. Zhang is shorter than guys like Vitali Klistchko, Michael Grant, Henry Akinwande ect and none of them ever game in the ring weighed almost 280 pounds because they were dedicated. Let's go further. There was a boxer in the 70's named Lou Esa who was 6'6 250 and was criticized for being in poor shape. Muhammad Ali came in the Jimmy Young bout weighed 230 and people had a problem with it. Doing George Foreman's comeback he was constantly downed because of his weight even though his physique was way better than Zhang. That is why people came into the ring lighter back in the day. The reason why guys like Zhang doesn't get exposed more because most heavyweights are pretty out of shape now days.

Also I don't know how Zhang is a legit heavy puncher. Who has he knocked out? As I stated various so called lower tiered guys walked through his power including a guy named Eric George who came in the bout weighing 198 pounds and was knocked out by other guys his own size.

Zhang is never going to move like Muhammad Ali! Doesn't matter what he weighs.

He could drop 50 pounds and still be slow, but then he'd be slow and weaker. He's not trying to be that guy, so he comes in at 280.

Comparing Zhang with any elite heavy isn't worthwhile. But if it's a battle of massive men, then he's a chance.

Getting Zhang a fight against Joyce was brilliant matchmaking. Any fight that is a battle of chins and power instead of speed and skill will give him a chance. Put him up against faster guys lower down the rankings and he gets embarrassed. Instead he's got a very highly regarded scalp on his resume.

Zhang can hurt them all with that power.

And I won`t say Usyk, Wilder, Fury, Joshua beat him without fighting him.

Touching story. Zhang doesn't weigh 280 pounds. Second if weighing a lot of weight makes you stronger than Jarrell Miller weighed 330 which means he is way stronger than Zhang right? You don't know what you are typing about. Putting on weight and being a fat slob doesn't make you stronger. Zhang isn't strong and he doesn't punch hard which is why numerous guys smaller than him have went the distance with him. The only guys Zhang can beat are slow guys or guys who are just put in front of him to lose.

You write with authority, like that makes a difference when the content is so unrealistic.

I just watched him bust up Joe Joyce. Most of that damage was done in just two rounds. Objectively he hits hard.

You don't think a man of his size punches hard? I don't know what planet you're on.

Oh, you're going to be one of those who gives the scientific calculation behind pressure applied by a punch? It's all about the speed in the delivery right? Try walking onto a power punch by a 6ft6 guy and tell me how that works out. The mass behind it matters.

                  Okay, 278 pounds.

                  What's your point?

It was a fun fight to watch between two top HW’s. Better than watching Haney, or waiting on Crawford to fight someone with a pulse.

And better than Fury and Wilder ducking everybody and talking about a huge fight with UFC guy.
