Pacquiao's and JMM's reach is the same, 67 inches. Mayweather's is 72 inches. The OP has a good point, Mayweather's reach may be too much for Pacquiao.

Marquez was the smaller man against Pacquiao, which is why he couldn't knock him down. However, he did hurt Pacquiao several times and bust him up.

The blueprint that Marquez set to beat Pacquiao uses the same tools that Mayweather excels at at a much higher skill level. Floyd, using his reach advantage and his incredibly fast jab, will toy with Pac finish him off any time he wants. This fight is a mismatch!

Obviously this is a significant disadvantage for Pac, however, foot speed, hand speed and lack of fear of being hit will hopefully marginalize the reach advantage.

Pacquiao was countered at will by Marquez, because he's constantly off balance and has no defense.

His lack of fear of being hit, aka, lack of defense, will get him KTFO.
