damn that really was some sick counter punching by Floyd. Hes a jackass sometimes and not flawless like some people make him out to be, but he is one talented guy.

yea, the combination of the reach advantage, speed and style of Mayweather completely nullified Marquez.

Swatting a slow, big fly is easier than swatting a small, fast one!

the jmm we saw in that fight would have destroyed by any top 10 welterweight, he didn't carry the weight properly. but the sad part is i was expecting for mayweather to ko that midget that he outweights for about 20lbs....

Pacquiao was not able to reach Marquez with his jab or his left, so he was easily countered and punished.

Mayweather will be able to counter Pacquiao even more effectively since he's a superior counter-puncher, and due to his superior reflexes and reach advantage he will never be within the range of any of Pacquiao's punches.

Marquez out-landed Pacquiao in both fights, but was only able to land 12% of his punches against Mayweather.
What a clear demonstration of how the size difference was such a big problem for Marquez. His Jab is 6 inches short, but Floyd is still in range to hit him.

Mayweather leaned back and then leaned forward in a fraction of a second, which took away JMM's jab and why JMM was hit with the straight right.

Mayweather did the same thing to N'dou several times throughout their fight. It's one of his signature defensive moves.

I agree though, his reach advantage took away any possibilty of JMM landing his jab. Expect Pacquiao to be dominated in the same fashion.

manny is the same fighter he was when he fought barrera and marquez the only difference is that manny since those 2 fights has not fought anyone as good as marquez or barrera

I'd have to agree with that to a certain degree.

If anyone remembers, Roach said Pacquiao was so much more improved and everyone was saying JMM was going to be KO'd by Pacquiao in their rematch.

What happened...? Pacquiao was out-boxed again, just like he was in their first fight over 4 years go. Marquez arguably beat him.

People made the mistake of thinking Pacquiao was improved at that time because he KO'd Morales. People seemed to forget Morales lost EVERY round to Raheem before Pacquiao's rematch with him. Roach even said Morales was shot.

The same thing is happening again now. Pacquiao beats a weight-drained Oscar and a shot Hatton, and now they feel he's improved again.

Mayweather will need to send a reality check, if Cotto doesn't have the skills to do it.
