Why is GGG considered "elite" but not Spence?

There a lot of boxing fans, across the board, who states that Spence isn't elite but GGG is. I want to know why? GGG has the edge in power, jab, chin, and maybe footwork but that's about it. Spence is the better counter-pucher, just as good at cutting off the ring and fighting on the inside, he has the better defender, and he is much more athletic. Can someone explain to me why Spence doesn't get as much credit as GGG even though he has the better resume and has been more consistent?

      Nonsense

Everybody and their mom know that Spence and Crawford are the only two ¨elite welters¨ currently active

That's why their clash will determine who's the WW kingpin in the post PacFloyd era

Ennis is arguably better than both. Idk what the hell you're talking about? Hell, Ortiz Jr is better than anyone on Crawford and Spence's resume.

Well I never considered Errol Spence anything less than elite, he started getting big fights late in his career but having wins over Kell Brook, Shawn Porter, Danny Garcia and Yordenis Ugas is pretty great. He is still 32 years old so who knows what else he will be able to achieve.

Even if he stopped now, he is a HOF guaranteed.

You don't know that. Ennis looks like the goods but he hasn't beaten anyone of note yet

it's easy to look unstoppable when you have some skills and your best opponent is C level Lipinets, who's also small for WW, Ennis had big size advantage over him

Virgil Ortiz is in the same boat. unproven so far against good opposition, these guys haven't beaten even a past prime champ yet, just a bunch of never wases

Crawford and Spence have better resumes and are more proven, specially Spence

Maybe Ennis will prove his worth in the future, but right now Spence and Crawford are the WW elite

I consider GGG, Bud Crawford and EJ Spence to be “elite”.

I’ve always thought Spence is one of the most elite welterweights of the last thirty years.
