Let's see what the next few days bring.....The people with the 'begging bowl' were trying to run the show (Hearn and Joshua) and as Furry said and is right , it's the Tyson Fury show , Joshua is a beaten but popular bit player and should know his place .He should have jumped at this once in a lifetime opportunity but instead said very little .Tyson can't wait around for bit players HE is the champion of the world not a fighter who just lost his last 3 out of 5 fights!!
BS....Weeks and months ago everyone in Vegas was saying that Fury was up to his old tricks and has no intention of fighting either Joshua or Usyk in 2022. And they were right.
£50mil vs Joshua or £2mil at best vs Charr... that isnt a ppv worthy fight. It wont do more then 150k buys IF THAT, it probably wouldnt sell at the 02 let alone a stadium. Its complete Fury bollux again... its in EVERYONE'S best interests (financial) to get this fight made.
Right after Usyk's win over AJ, ESPN talking heads discussed how December was a bad month for scheduling any of the big money fights due to global and US sporting events and other issues.
They were speaking specifically about Usyk and Fury bit I think it's applicable for any of Usyk's big fight options.
I don't think an AJ/Fury fight was realistic or optimal right now but Fury loves to flap his gums. I doubt there will be a Fury fight in 2021 but if there is, it will be against a Charr type opponent.
joe joyce now has a better resume than wilder so lets see if fury steps up and takes on the joyce challenge. ruiz also has a better much resume than wilder so hes another option. joshua as well even though hes coming off 2 losses.
I was one of many who disagreed with you. I don’t understand how this idiot would pull this shenanigan. He would be a 20-1 favorite to beat AJ and would make 20x more than he would fighting Charr.
I don’t get it
Those that know the fight game will look back at Fury’s legacy and know this is a man that utterly pissed it up against the wall. This is another nothing fight against a stool pidgin. These sort of fights would be ok if he was an active champ which he’s anything but. His overall cv has the overrated Wilder and old Klitschko. There’s nothing to write home about after that. Chisora and Wyhte then come into it as 3rd tier he’s beaten. That’s it. The rest are club fighters like Marty Rogan. A shame. Because he has the talent to achieve so much more. Deep down mentally he must know he’s a hot and cold fighter thus wants zero risks.
