I think Roy would've been too much for Eubank in terms of both speed and ring generalship. It is well known that Eubank was a tough durable fighter who at his peak could take a punch. However, Roy in the mid late 90's was in a different league than all middleweights and super middleweights out there. People forget how easily he beat on James Toney who has since had big wins at Heavyweight.

Eubank also struggled against quicker fighters as highlighted by his defeat to Joe Calzaghe.

In summary, I think the fight would have gone the distance i.e. no knockouts but Roy would've won a comfortable points decision something like 117-111 across the board.

Shame it never happened as would have been an awesome fight!

Eubank had smarter ring generalship than Jones. Study Eubank's ring generalship! There were very few, if none, who mastered it better.

Without doubt Jones has the high hand. Speed. Agility. Footwork. Reflexes. But it would have been a tough, tough battle. Eubank in his prime is only leaving the ring in two ways - champ or dead. Watson had all but cremated him and scattered the ashes and still ended up beat (one of the most out-of-nowhere-and-lethal punches I've ever seen).

Sadly the fans were robbed of yet another great fight with these two.

Well said. My opinion precisely. Lol, now I am even starting to sound like Eubank! LETS HAVE SOME PARLAMENTARY PROCEDURE!

Ok, joke aside, Eubank, Benn or Collins would all have been a VERY tough match for Jones. All in their own way. Eubank and Collins because they were tough as nails and could never be beaten down to size really, not in their primes. And Benn...do I have to say why?

I'm tempted to say Eubank, but i think anyone could win this.
