Shane Mosley, the same guy who was outboxed by Miguel Cotto, is the guy who can beat Floyd?
He looked good against B level Marg, but if he had trouble landing on Cotto, and was outboxed by Miguel, imagine the boxing lesson FMJ will give him.
This is not a fighter A beat fighter B so C can beat B, this is just simple, factual analysis based on speed and boxing skill. Shane could not cope with Cotto's boxing ability and had trouble hitting him.

Why not just be happy that Floyd will fight the winner of Cotto v Pac, the bigger name and better opponent, and leave it at that.
If Floyd does not fight the winner of one of those two, then you can gripe away.

Not to mention the excuses when Floyd decisions Shane...Shane was old, Shane was washed up, Floyd only did what Cotto has already done etc etc.

I agree that Shane probably has little chance against floyd, but why not fight him first and then the pac-Cotto winner? That would be the best scenario for any fightfan.

Mosley is the #1 rated welterweight. Same reason why Floyd fought baldomir (which was still a joke at the time) over mosley 3 years ago. Hes making excuses again

Yeah but Shane is probably the only guy that can land on Floyd and do some serious damage. You think Mayweather will be out boxing him once he feels the power of a real WW. He is going ride that bike all night and that opens up the chance for SSM to steal some rounds

I think the timing is off for that scenario. In order for that fight to happen, with negotiations, time off for Floyd and Mosley after the Berto fight and training camp, the earlies that fight could happen is Feb/early March.
It would be in Floyds best interst to make the winner of Pac v Cotto for April/May or even earlier, and just sacrifice the few months in between.

I agree with you there. I am in full support of Floyd related hate if he defers against the winner of that fight.
