well, floyd did cherry pick someone who was beat by Chris John and had a war with Juan Diaz.

Mosley is the #1 rated welterweight. Same reason why Floyd fought baldomir (which was still a joke at the time) over mosley 3 years ago. Hes making excuses again

Baldomir had the linear title. Mosley does not. There is no linear welterweight champ since Floyd vacated.
Mosley is apparently number one but Cotto, who is fighting at welter, defeated Shane.

Floyd should fight the winner of Pac vs Cotto, because no matter who he fights, they will be a better opponent than Mosley.
Shane is getting desperate, and his actions on Sat coupled with his attempts to get in the ring with Pac, corroborate that.

We can all talk about how Floyd would do this and that to Mosley because so and so did it to him but that doesn't mean Mayweather has fought and beat him does it ?

He needs to actually fight him to get the credit.

I wouldn't give Shane much of a chance against Floyd but his combination of size, speed and power is something that is a threat to Mayweather and Mosley is the top dog at 147.

The fight makes sense, Hopefully it happens.

Anyway Mosely barely got beat by Cotto. He also destroyed Marg. He deserves a shot and is a big threat to Mayweather. Pac is great, but I wanna see him VS a big guy like Cotto. Cotto and P Williams I give them a good shot too.

If he beats them then he can claim to be the best ever without much criticism, and mroe discussion.

IMO Shane fought the wrong fight against Cotto. he didn't even try to box. He was throwing one shot at a time, and only picked it up when it was too late. Shane however did change to boxing mode against Margarito, and used his legs for once, and avoided everything froma man, who landed very easily on Cotto.

Also didn't everybody say Mosley would have been KOed by Margarito because his reflexes were gone?

I think the timing is off for that scenario. In order for that fight to happen, with negotiations, time off for Floyd and Mosley after the Berto fight and training camp, the earlies that fight could happen is Feb/early March.
It would be in Floyds best interst to make the winner of Pac v Cotto for April/May or even earlier, and just sacrifice the few months in between.

Is Mosley-Berto a done deal? Even if it is surely Berto will accept a step aside fee so SSM-Floyd can happen in December. Winner of that fight to face Cotto-Pac winner. That would be awesome.
