Mayweather and Bivol are similar fighters (albeit different weight classes and body types) with great stamina, calm under fire, quick hands, good fundamentals and strong jabs.
Canelo seems to struggle with elite fighters of that ilk.
Benavides seems more of a power puncher and I wouldn’t be surprised if Canelo negates that. I voted a Canelo loss because he looks like he’s slipping to me. But I’m thinking he may be able to cope with the hard hitting come forward style of Benavides, like he’s done with GGG, although he would struggle with an elite pure boxer.
I think everyone being honest with themself has to recognize at this point that Canelo looks like an elite boxer with anyone but the most elite, pure technical fighters, in which he gets schooled (only twice in his career so far). He got schooled by the great FMJ, and by the future great, D Bivol. He can out box just about anyone else, including the good pressure fighters and head hunters. I think Canelo by decision.
