Tbf to Ellerbe, he’s been involved in fights that did 4m plus and he didn’t have to window dress with international buys either.

Also it confirms what I’ve been saying for a long time, that Canelo is nowhere near as big a star as they try to portray him on his networks. He only used to do about 300K when he’s fighting the likes of Liam Smith. Even now he can barely crack 500k in the USA and he’s meant to be the “face of boxing”. He did much more than that with the first Golovkin fights but that was a mega fight and both sides together were the reason it did the numbers it did, The event sold it, not Canelo.

I agree with Eddie that PBC PPV numbers are usually horrendous but that’s because they’re putting fights on that are not really pay-per-view fights…. but Canelo is meant to be the face of boxing and is doing about half a million in the US, hardly spectacular numbers for the “face of boxing”

I agree floyd is the biggest star, but honestly his numbers wouldn’t be the same in today’s streaming era, no? You can’t quantify it though so it’s hard to really know
