Wilder's attitude is pathetic. Most humble fighters will say that it's up to the public and boxing experts to decide if he makes the hall of fame. He has a good career so far though. I will give him that. If he fights Joshua and wins and beats up some credible guys who aren't tomato cans then maybe. But the hall of fame also looks at a fighter's attitude, ring record, wars, quality of opponents, etc. To even say that he should be in the hall of fame shows that Wilder glorifies himself more than others do. As ****y as Floyd Mayweather Jr was even he never said that he should be in the hall of fame. Wilder's record doesn't speak for itself as of yet.

Posters better understand he’s going into the hall of fame based on title defenses and he’s American .

Is he really one ? Not at all unless you count the bizarre statements he makes he could also be the first heavyweight boxer to claim he wants pregnancy ? Either way he’s going in and he can get away with these statements, make no mistake the WBC will make sure of it .

Why for having 9 title defenses against unranked bums ? If he is able to grab another alphabet belt is his comeback then sure he probably gets in. BUMSQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's not calling himself an all-time great heavyweight. All he is saying is that he belongs in the Hall of Fame to which I tend to agree. He has all the merits and the credentials in order to prove it.

However, both very sadly and unfortunately there are no criteria to get into the Hall of fame. Either the boxing writers like you or they don't and if they don't; It doesn't matter how good of a fighter you are or what your ring accomplishments were during your boxing career you still won't get in.

Thank you! Now this is a man who knows his boxing right here! What a very informative post? He relies on his intellect rather than his emotions

There's a lot of hate for a fighter who Tyson Fury went life and death with. Also, those same people who laugh at the notion that Wilder gets in the Hall of Fame, are probably the same folks who believe that Mike Tyson had a Halll of Fame career. They've had the same exact careers, losing to the top guy(s). The only difference is Mike Tyson lost to tomato cans, while Wilder beat everyone he was supposed to.

Wilders career isn’t done yet but he’s also accumulated a knockout record I think ? Much like Foreman who I think is more known for his power and stoppages then his own wins . I think he a.so only defended the belt three times but is also the oldest heavyweight champion. To reach the hall of fame you get their fir accomplishments in your own era ,I’d be on the fence however if it were me voting because I really think he needs a true top win against a current guy who’s in top 5 at least .

Theres been fighters like Shavers in there so going on that I’d probably have to induct him which in the older days if you were just known it got you in so ? Wilder has more going for him then a good handful of heavyweights who got in . Looking past his resume , title defenses are real and so is his knockout percentage, you can even make things up here like the most wins with a right hand I don’t know but he’s made his mark to any one’s discretion big or small .

Now this is a crazy post . Lol

Mike was a unified champion and cleaned out a decade of everyone and fought everyone to do that .

Wilder has never held more then one belt and never fought everyone at least yet and if he did he still lost , Mike Tyson was never close to losing when he was on top and to better fighters . The key thing here is you said Wilder won against guys he was supposed to and he mostly carefully arranged those type of fights like he is against Helenius .

MF’er deserves to be in the Hall of Shame for abusing and accusing Mark Breland of being dirty! I will always root against him from here on out, and if he so happen to get beat badly; oh welll he deserves it!
