Yep just like he did vs Bivol except Benavidez is faster, bigger and more powerful than him plus throws a lot of body shots. Against that offense Canelo will be busy shelling up and trying to safe his life rather than this fantasy counter punching. You can counter 2 shots not 10, plus he is too slow. Its game over.

Whats absurd is Canelo saying he doesn't wanna fight Mexicans when already fought a bunch of them. But of course its not absurd when u think about it, because he fought Mexicans like Angulo and Chavez jr, who u already knew stood zero chance as soon as the fight was made, because they're slow, have poor defense and are easy to hit. And the Mexicans that are calling him out now, are guys like Benavidez and Zurdo, are fit, fast and strong, who can knock his brains out

Yea when he made that statement, it was totally self serving to avoid his strongest challengers. He doesn't care about Mexico or boxing. That comment sh.t on all the past Mexican greats who always gave their heart and soul to the fans to give us tremendous All Mexican battles, fights that will always be remembered by history forever. This dude is just robbing the sport to get rich as possible without taking the any of the risks that great Mexican warriors of the past have taken.

I know that sounds mind blowing but if you analyze the fight its obvious. Canelo is smaller, slower, worse cardio, throws half as many punches. When do you ever see the slower, smaller fighter with less cardio ever over come that vs an elite fighter?

'Counter punching' is not something magic. You cannot counter punch effectively when you are much smaller, slower, and struggle with cardio.
