I want to see that fight happen but you can't argue against what Canelo is saying though. Benavidez hasn't done anything really but the fight should happen solely because the fans want it and it's far more interesting than the Canelo-GGG III was

I'm sure he'll fight Benavidez in future, even if what he's said didn't sound like it. Canelo fought a monster in a prime Golovkin, at least for the first two fights, and he took on an excellent light heavyweight in Bivol.

He should take a year out and heal his body and rest his mind. Let David fight Plant and Charlo, if he can get those fights, be impressive and then it's a bigger fight with Canelo.

If Benavidez wants the fight he should "cross the street" right - but it makes zero as to why the PBC still haven't put together any mix of Benavidez, Plant, Charlo or Morrell Jr; all of them are good fights and they could have an in-house tournament.
