The fact that he struggled with a 40 year old senior citizennis embarassing. I scored it 7-5 canelo with the fight on mute. Triple g took rounds 2 and 9-12 where he beat and pummeled canelo pillar to post

Lmao at some of the people on here. Gimme a break. Revisionists. First fight was close 7-5 I had it ggg I bet on him to win but a draw WAS NOT a robbery. One round I saw differently then the judges and boom u get a draw.I wanted to give ggg rounds too I bet on him to win. A draw was not a robbery or out of the realm of reality. 118-110 canelo was. Fight 2 wasn’t close canelo won by 3 points I thought and fight 3 was 9-3 at best. The reality is ggg went 0-2-1 against the only decent HOF level fighter he ever fought. He’s not a HOFame fighter dudes a can crusherComment

I had Golovkin winning the first fight close. He kept going for the head and not the body enough and that cost him. i had it a draw in the second fight but, understand why they gave it to alvared because he came forward more. clenelo alvared clearly won the third scrap because Gol-old-vkin didn't do shtt in the first half of the fight

Funny how you reference revisionists yet want to say fight 2 wasn’t close despite of the 51 press row scorecards, only 2 gave it to Canelo. The actual scorecards had it 1 round off from being a majority draw. Canelo fans have spun the narrative to suit their warped fan boy perceptions. Not to mention you scored the rematch for Canelo by 3 points, which isn’t mathematically possible in a 12 round fight without a 10-8 round. Revisionist.Lmao at some of the people on here. I thought Canelo won all three. No debate needed because I can understand people arguing for GGG in 1 and 2. I thought Corey’s thoughts on them hating each other helped our humanity or would help it, was absurd. A vicious knockout would have helped. Canelo could not deliver. It was a sad fight in many ways.Comment

The thing that hurts older fighters is the microsecond hesitancy to pull the trigger. GGG showed a bit of that in this fight, and it cost him the victory. Alvarez was often the first to throw, and was definitely the most eager to launch power shots. So Alvarez won this time, and finally did it clearly.
Having said that, the world of boxing fans owes Golovkin a debt of respect for his performance in the bout. Alvarez did not crush him as he did Plant and Saunders. Nor was Alvarez eager to remain at length in the line of fire, because Golovkin can still put out the lights on very tough men.
Ultimately, Alvarez beat Golovkin using the same formula as Bivol used on Alvarez: High energy, in and out a lot, not trying to throw too many bombs, but resorting to fast combinations of medium-strength power shots followed by a varied and unpredictable exit.
Hats off to both men, and perhaps a wink of appreciation that GGG’s trolling may have contributed to the cleanest Canelo we’ve seen, without a hint of PEDs or store-bought judging.Last edited by Bro. Steve; 09-19-2022, 09:29 AM.Comment

Turning (and fighting at) FORTY is a pretty big milestone, especially at this level. Most people (like most of those on this forum and probably yourself as well) are complete ****houses by that age. I haven't the time to go back and watch several fights but I'm willing to bet GGG's age was mentioned in every one of those fights, and also pretty sure his age being a actual factor was mentioned in the majority if not all of those fights. The fight was far from "elder abuse." GGG barely had a mark on his face after the fight. Canelo looked noticeably pissed off after the fight. I'm sure partly because he said he was injured but also probably because he still couldn't even come close to hurting even a 40 year old GGG, even after all the **** talk and a still salty because he got knocked out of the ring by a white boy Bernard Hopkins claiming an early KO. I was pretty conviced GGG would take a beating in this fight. I don't really hear anyone crying about the fight besides people like yourself. No one forced him to get in the ring at 40 and I think it's a no brainer everyone knows he'd have done better had he been 30. I didn't hear GGG making any excuses. What's the problem? We can play this game with most anyone.GGGeezer vs Kamil ....no mention of GGG's age

Not impressed with the performance of either fighter. Fight looked like both guys knew the outcome BEFORE the fight started and just sparred for 12 rounds. Had to keep telling myself this wasn't the WWE it was so well scripted. How in the world did DAZN think this card was PPV worthy. Won't be getting anymore of my money in the future, see better fights on ESPN for free.Comment
