and that was 3 years ago july 26 to be exact but what shane said is "he was taking his family on vacation and he wont be able to lose the weight (shane was @ 154 and he had to come to 147) properly in time to fight him in november but he WILL fight him in january the next year. then he added the comment bout the tooth." if that isnt a great reason then what is? shane never said i wont fight him. all he said was let me take my family on vacation right quick then we can do it. as a man u still have to take care of the family. u cant just go fight all year and not send time with them. and take note that shane did end up fighting in january just like he said and he waited for floyd to finish with DHL instead of going get another fight.
explain this to me why didn't floyd fight shane after DLH instead of fighting hatton? why does floyd comes up with excuses after excuse on why he not fighting shane?Comment

Uhh cause cotto fought clottey and now cotto is fighting pacquiao. He was negotating to fight either clottey or berto and it looks like he'll be fighting berto. So mosley has fought cotto, margarito, and between his negotiations with clottey and berto he'll fight berto. By the way, all the guys I just mentioned (mosley, cotto, clottey, margarito, and berto) are all ranked 1-5 in the division. The better question is why don't you want the so called p4p king and hence best welterweight, to fight the number 1 welterweight?Comment

shane was in the ring b/c he's a partner of golden boy, who co-promoted the fight.....give me an example of why its ok for him to interrupt a post fight interview tho.....that **** was ridiculous.
on one hand, i'd love for floyd to beat his ass, on the other hand, i wouldn't be disappointed if he chose NOT to fight him.....**** shane....he doesn't DESERVE ****....
he was a round away from losing to ricardo mayorga, and he beat a one dimensional fighter who stands in front of him, and he withholds the right to interrupt a fighter's post-fight interview?
shane's fast, but unless you think punches landing on arms, elbows, and gloves, constitute as "breaking" mayweather's defense, shane ain't got a chance...
it completely boggles my mind that shane's not fighting clottey, and has publicly ducked paul williams, but you ppl count this **** as acceptable behavior, and even worse- give shane a pass for these antics....
like the author, and schaffer himslef even stated, there are other ways to go about getting a fight with floyd than this di****able **** here....**** shane "juice man" mosley.
if floyd had interrupted a pacquiao interview, all hell would break loose on these here boards, talking about how pathetic, disrespectful, and classless floyd is....but shane gets a pass and even congratulated.

Because Mayweather is a better fighter than all those guys, and he wants to beat the best. He's not ducking clottey or williams to fight Juan Manuel Marquez, he wants to fight Floyd Mayweather. He already faced Cotto and knocked out Antonio Margarito. Give him his shot at Mayweather.Comment

I really wish Margarito hadnt had his career ruined. I would have been interested to see Mayweather's excuse not to fight him had he beaten Mosley and not had the wrap controversey.
Any man who can draw more people than the world champion Los Angeles Lakers is more than worthy to fight Mayweather. IMO.Comment

Meanwhile Floyd only sold 14000 seats but then they were paying $1000 for the seat so if you do your maths you will notice the difference.
On another note someone mentioned Baldomir,back then Carlos was undisputed WW champion and a means to an end,he had something Floyd wanted,what does Mosley have?

You Floyd fans kill me man. Don't you guys realize that the reason why Berto has the WBC belt is because it was vacated by Floyd? And like a guy who practically got KOd by a ten loss bum in Cosme Rivera is going to pose a threat to Shane. Dream on. If his ***** ass accepts the $750,000 that he isn't even worth then he can get it. What's funny to me too is that Rivera is the same guy who got iced by Angulo and Judah and Berto couldn't even put him away. Mosley would destroy that fraud.Comment
