Leonard Ellerbe: "We're not interested in Mosley, he doesn't draw any kind of crowd"

The irony is that Mosley may have irreparably damaged any possibility of a Mayweather fight. Though Mayweather took the high road in declaring his respect for Mosley as a fighter, several members of Mayweather's team were livid at the boorish behavior.

Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe blasted Mosley and said they weren't interested in a fight with Mosley because "he doesn't draw any kind of crowd."

Floyd Mayweather Sr., De La Hoya's former trainer who has a long history with Golden Boy, called Mosley a "punk" and said, "[he] isn't worth my son's time."

Do you really believe Marquez > SSM in pure live gate + PPV draws? Hell F no! How can you any of you truly buy into that justification? That PBF won't fight SSM because Marquez was the better draw? A win against SSM would be 10x more credible than the win against Marquez! Unless it hasn't hit you in the head yet. It's always been about risk vs. reward and PBF doesn't really care much for the first one but more on the latter. I'm damn well sure that shane will take the small end of 70/30 or even 75/25 ffs.

Floyd never called him out the way Shane did. Floyd says he's the best and talks a lot of crap but doesn't want to back it up. When SHane is not here, he's a roider with 5 losses, when he's here he respects him. Like Floyd says: "Which one is it?"

Terrible article. Mosley's respect and class hadn't gotten him any fights, it was obvious that he needed to do this.

I remember Floyd Sr. saying a while ago that Shane Mosley was a "real fight". I guess he has changed his mind now.

It got him fights, just not the ones he wanted, he didint want williams, berto etc, he wanted pac or mayweather, he wants the huge payday and didint do anything to stay busy in between that. I cant say i feel super sorry for him because he wanted the hugest payday, while thats understanable, there were other fights in between he could have taken to help rise his stock.

Why it"s the truth. When Shane is not here, Floyd talks a lot of **** about him. When Shane came to his face, he didn't have the courage to fire back and to call him a roider with 5 losses. He respected him and played basketball with him.

It was not wrong of Mosley to get on the microphone and say that a fight between the two of them would be a mega event. He did not get on the mic and say 'I'll beat you any day of the week, Floyd.'. He was invited into the interview by HBO and he was respectful, said his words and was backing off.

What happened was all because of Bernard Hopkins and his big mouth.

The article is just trash, making it out like Shane is a bully. He never disrespected Floyd. All he disrespected was Floyd's precious ego.

And why would Shane 'concede the stage' at the post-fight conference. He's a member of GOLDEN BOY PROMOTIONS. He's ALWAYS on the stage post-fight.

Just a dumb article in my opinion.

Anyway I'm glad that what happened, happened. Floyd had cheated on the scales and I don't blame HBO for instigating a fight with a real welterweight.
