I agree with benavidez here. canelo dominated the first half of the fight but come the second half of the fight he struggled and gassed out against a 40 year old senior citizen. Name another prime pound for pound fighter who gassed out against a 40 year old senior citizen and can't even knock him out i'll wait. Naoya Inoue showed Canelo how it's done knocking out a 40 year old Donaire with ease. Imagine if that version of canelo fought a prime hungry david benavidez, hoo boy canelo's gonna get knocked the **** out.

Benavidez seems to think fans have the final say who Canelo fights.

Canelo said his hand is injured so that probably means no December fight. That also means he is most likely to come back on Cinco de Mayo.......only acceptable fights for that date at this point will be Bivol, Benavidez, or Charlo. Anything other than that and he will get criticized beyond belief in Mexico.....the Mexican Americans might make excuses if he fights John Ryder though.
