Relatively speaking PEDnelo looked more shot than GGG considering he is closer to his prime. but he is fighting way above his natural weight and has been fighting larger men for years.

Age is showing on both fighters and Alvarez could lose to any contender that boxes him and is long at 168. I wasn't impressed as GGG was ready to be battered in there and all Alvarez did was spar with him.

        Stop hating ffs
Murata had better offence against Golovkin, until he ran out of steam. But Murata had amateur background like G. Golovkin was able to fight to survive to the bell and Canelo didn't have it in him to do anything about it - he couldn't land enough power shots to take Golovkins legs away from him or make him drop his hands.

Canelo struggles with olympic pedigree fighters

Joe Smith showed how you deal with an older fighter

        • Vaguely depressing blowout representing the worst case scenario for a Golovkin at 40 short of getting stopped. I gave him literally one round (9) and even that felt shaky. I could see an era of weird Canelo scoring overcorrection that gives the opponent benefit of doubt in response to perceived past favoritism, which could be fun or insufferable. Or maybe just a one off for Golovkin. Time will tell

This fight was not a good fight.
