How can we consider ourselves boxing fans when this kind of logic is justified:

1. He ducked me so I'm going to duck him.
   
2. He doesn't bring enough money to the table.

If you can defend these two things then you're not a fan.

Its so obvious what Shane's up to. The man just went through a divorce and is nearing the end of his career. Hes looking for one last payday and hes becoming more and more impaitent about it as he realizes hes **** out of luck. Look at how wreckless he was pursuing PAQ. He offered to fight him at 140! that should show just how desperate he is. But manny didnt take the fight and instead fought cotto for more money at a higher weight. So if PBF is scared,then I guess manny is petrified.

He cheated before, it was a mistake. He hasn't cheated since. He is the #1 welterweight in the world right now. You're just making excuse after excuse for him to not fight.

There are people that are giving excuses to the fighters that have lost to Floyd and it drives you wild. Now you're making excuses for him not to fight someone he should. That's called being hypocritical.

Well that's sad because Mosley earned a shot, I thought. Plus, it would be a great fight. As a fan, I'd love to see it.

I gave Mayweather a pass for fighting Marquez, it was his first fight back after all. Now things are going to get interesting. I think a Pacquiao fight will be extremely difficult to make. If Pac beats Cotto and Floyd is unable to reach an agreement with him, does he fight Shane then? How does he avoid that?

For years Floyd was on the outside while Tito, Shane and Oscar got all the attention and Shane repeatedly refused to fight Mayweather.

Now Floyd, Manny and Cotto are the big boys and now Shane is getting a taste of his own medicine.

THIS IS THE ALTERNATE POINT THAT SHOULD BE MADE !!

If Cotto upsets Pacquiao, Mayweather-Cotto should happen. Not only does Cotto have a supportive fanbase, but he also holds a legitimate head-to-head victory over Mosley, and has a WBO belt. A Mayweather vs. Cotto fight is beyond reproach. Miguel’s resume includes wins over Mosley, Quintana, Judah, and Clottey. His sole loss was a tainted KO stoppage at the hands of the now-disgraced Antonio Margarito.

Given the timelines for huge PPV events, that leaves Mosley out of the picture until at least summer 2010. If Floyd continues to win, he must face Mosley when the dusts settles. But over the next six to nine months, there are more compelling match-ups.
And when Floyd does face Shane, Team Mayweather should be justifiably heavy-handed at the negotiating table: “$3 million, take it or leave it”.

In the meantime, Shane, handle your business. Manny, Ricky and Floyd earned their place at the “adults table”. Step your game up.

I don't get why floyd fans don't want to see floyd/mosley. its arguably the best boxing match at 147 lbs.

It's not that people don't want to see it. It's that there are bigger fights to be made. Namely Pacquiao and Cotto.

Well yes, if he has better options then sure. It's all about the money with Floyd and I can't knock him for that. It does make his excuse-making (when he tries to justify his blatantly obvious choices of opponent) sound hilarious. LOL @ Floyd hyping up Baldomir. That will go down in history.
