I like both guys. I don't think it's a stoppage, and if it a shocking tko, then more likely for Canelo with body shots.

But I see it going the distance, and of course, not counting out Golovkin, who might just come with a smart boxing strategy.

Ready for round number 25 through to 36, if it goes that long. I think this will be the last time they fight each other, but I don't see a big ko as Fury did to Wilder.

This fight is going to be more competitive than the experts think. GGG is 40, I get that. Canelo is in his prime. I get that too. Their first 2 fights were competitive. While Canelo has beaten all of his opponents in impressive fashion (except Bivol) since he last fight GGG, folks are really ignoring that those opponents that Canelo fought, had no power. GGG has power, and while it never looked painfully obvious, he has hurt Canelo in their first two bouts. Fighting Canelo is very motivating for GGG. He will be at his best for fight 3. While I favor Canelo, this bout is a toss up in my opinion.

You say that you get that Golovkin is 40 - then you ignore it by talking about what happened in the first 2 fights 4+ years ago.
You say Golovkin will be motivated. Well, he should be. So what?
Golovkin had power in the first two fights but he was unable to visibly hurt Canelo. The amount of power you have is irrelevant if you can't land it. Golovkin was hesitant to throw hooks in the first fight 5 years ago because he got countered too much. Now GGG is slightly slower Canelo will anticipate him better and counter better and harder.
The bookies have Canelo as a 5-1 favourite. They do not think this fight is a 'toss up'. They expect Canelo to win comfortably.

Folks are always quick to point out age. Athletes are in better shape today than in years ago. Some athletes are still able to go, at 40 and beyond. The bookies have Canelo as an outright favorite. I don't. Do you always go with popular opinion or do you have an opinion of your own?

I've rooted for Canelo in both fights. Even though I went with Canelo, he wasn't a clear winner. Some have him losing. I'm sorry, but there were times in both fights that I felt Canelo was in trouble and had to dig deep. I see this fight being no different - despite Canelo being in his prime and GGG being 40.

Folks are neglecting that even though Canelo went up in weight, he carefully picked his opponents. Yes, I get that most had belts, but they were not threats. Canelo is only threatened by power punching boxers. He hit a wall when he stepped in the ring with Bivol. While Bivol is not a power puncher, he is a legitimate light heavyweight.

Canelo dominated the opponents he was supposed to dominate. Therefore I'm not going to be so quick to say he's unstoppable. I will say that's he's operating at an elite level, however. But given the first two bouts against GGG, Canelo is not supposed to dominate GGG. This is just my opinion. Facts will reveal themselves tonight.
