Guerrero-Soto or Martinez; Ortiz Comeback On Dec. 12th

It also looks like the return of Victor Ortiz might happen on December 12Th against a still-to-be-determined opponent. Also on that card would be IBF jr. lightweight champion Robert Guerrero taking on either Humberto Soto or WBO 130-pound belt-holder, Rocky Martinez. If this doubleheader comes to fruition, there’s a very good chance it takes place in San Jose, California, as an HBO ’Boxing After Dark’ telecast. - Steve Kim

Guerrero might beat either, but I see Zorrita putting enough pressure and shots together to get the late round KO or close decision. Martinez eats too many shots, he gets knocked out late.

Ortiz is still a good prospect and if he can get a jab or if he took a trip to the Wizard of Oz, he'll be a problem.

If Guerrero takes the fight with Martinez over Soto, then that's taking the path of least resistance even though it still may be a good fight. Soto has been around longer and someone needs to step up and fight him.

That Showtime card doesn't interest me at all though. Bradley-Peterson seems evenly matched, but with a Guerrero fight there is a chance for a KO. I'm into the action fighters. I forgive Guerrero for that quit job he pulled. He's gotten back on track with a couple of crowd pleasing wins even if they were agaisnt limited comp.

As much as I want Martinez t unify I prefer to see Soto vs Guerrero, then he can fight the winner of that fight.

Either way i think, Martinez can TKO Guerrero late, but Soto beats both Martonez and Guerrero.

Whoever wins from Guerrero-Soto would make a Ring champ and since Linares just signed, he could get in the mix too. Linares-Soto would be a war.

Showtime usually starts and ends before HBO starts.
