I guess he has trouble making 140. However, just because he struggles to make 140 doesn't necessarily mean that he is an average sized welterweight. How big of welterweight he is is determined by comparrison to the other welterweights, not how easily he can make 147.
I know that, but he claims to be the best, since he is a WW right now, he is also claiming to be the best WW basically calling out EVERY top WW, now I always thought to be the best, you have to beat the best, has he beaten the best WWs? No he hasn't, so either fight the top WWs, or don't claim to be the best.

Hmm i wonder if Floyd would get a free pass is he lost to Marquez last saturday

As for the question, erm what is it? Floyd being a legit WW? ofc he is he is pretty small tho he faced the likes of Hoya, Judah and Baldo who looked bigger.

Ok, he has already fought bigger men, then why can't he fight them now?

Erm he faced Judah (for the ibf and IBO titles (vacant) and Baldo WHO was Ring ww champ and wbc champ. Then went up in weight to face Hoya @154 for the wbc title.. thats pretty much the top tier WW at the time no matter what anyone says. (Cotto and Mosley were nowhere at the time)

Then Hatton a fight which people were calling for.

I think he will face them now Marquez was a tune up, you could argue someone like Quintana etc (a ww) would be good first fight but it doesn't bring money. I hope he faces Mosley next but unfortunately it will be Pac unless Cotto kos him (im hoping for that)

Who cares about Judah, we are talking about Floyd fighting bigger men, Blado and Hoya were bigger then him, but when people mention Cotto or Shane, they say he is too small? He wasn't too small for Baldo or Hoya? I sure hope he does, I will never deny Floyd's skill, but his attitude is the only thing that prevents me from being a fan, if he fights Cotto and Mosley and beats them both, then I will have nothing else bad to say about Floyd.

When have they been on the table? My memory is a little sketchy but after Mosley came down to 147 again and beat a shot vargas he was asked and basically said no. Wether it was cause he was scared or what? who knows..

Cotto was at 140 when Floyd was at 147 (btw Cotto ducked Floyd at 147) too, Floyd's not gonna come straight in and face either of them after a 21 month lay off. Probably still wont in his next fight cause demand for Pac/Floyd is to high.

I understand back then, but this is now, hell even before he retired Cotto was the top WW and Floyd was calling himself the top WW, like I said before to be the best you have to beat the best, he better fight them after the "Pac" fight (I don't see manny beating Cotto) and Leonard beat Hagler after a 3 year lay off, but I guess Floyd is NO WHERE near as great as Leonard.

                  I guess your right.

I dont think Cotto's size would be factor for Floyd, Shane's might.. Cotto is not that big.

I agree, Cotto not so much, Shane, well not as big as Baldo (almost 20 lbs on Floyd)
