I truly believe that Tyson lost against Williams because of the knee injury. I've read reports that he left the ring after the fight on his own legs and with no problems, no sign of a gimp or anything. Without the knee injury, Tyson could have won at least by TKO by rounds three, maybe four. At this age, fighters are prone to injury, i.ie. James Toney. Plus, with age comes a slight diminsihment of power, let alone accuracy and speed which Tyson also relies on. Footwork becomes lazy, reflexes are shot. Tyson can earn himself a good top Ten ranking if everything goes perfectly for him, and that is a big if. I do not believe that he can beat a title holder, except for maybe Brewster, and he would have to pace himself. He could have a chance against Ruiz.

Hey BRO you don't call people a FAN if they are not FANatics! well I'm not a TYSON fanatic but I don't see anything wrong in giving the guy a chance to make a final bid for a comeback earn some bucks and pay off his debts.

If he blew it again then sorry for him.

Personally i feel Tyson has more chance of winning a world title than Holyfield does.

Holyfield`s shot, but so is Tyson, just less so. It is quite comical that team Tyson mention fighting Kevin McBride and winning the world title in the same sentence. McBride is a joke, i`ve seen about 20 of his fights and he wins against bums. I remember German heavyweight Axel Schulz beating him up pretty badly a few years back and Louis Monaco stopping him in 5 also. It shows you the conifidence they have in Tyson for this fight to be made. Tyson is capable of beating the McBrides of this world but i guess he is also capable of losing to anyone, such is his poor conditioning and weak mental make up. Still people hold hope of one day Tyson being able to win a title back but its never gonna happen. I`d pick John Ruiz to beat Tyson at this stage, i`m not saying he couldn`t beat Ruiz but Ruiz would have a good chance if he could take the fight late. I would also go so far as to say Tyson is no longer world class, he is on the same level as probably larry donald or on a good day Fres Oquendo.

Mike tyson is 38 or 39, is in good shape, and is not beat up or

spent like Ali was at 39. mike tyson is still a force to be

recogned with. His promoters want him to fight 4-5 times in a

short span to get him back on his game! What genius, tyson is

most effective when he is fighting frequently. Just look at his

record in the first 2 years of his career; he was fighting at

least once per month and knocking everone he faced out. Although

he is not a young man anymore, but who says you got to be young

to win the title.(George Foreman,45 years young!)He will be back,

he has to, he got bills to pay!

My lord, you Tyson fans are hopeless.
What's it going to take for you to accept the truth ?

If it was all as easy as you all make it ("he just needs to train", "he needs Rooney back", "he needs to fight more") wouldn't there be a whole bunch of SHOT fighters rejuvenating their careers ?

He's had his ass beaten in all of his REAL fights, since he got out of jail.

I imagine if this mofo was killed in the ring, you'd all start talking about "Well, Mike will return someday...win back his title, using cryogenics."

                ENOUGH.

As Tyson'scolon, as I feel that I have some firsthand info into the internal state of one Mike G. Tyson.
I was discussing the state of affairs with Tyson'sspleen, when Tyson'sknee limped by. "Why so sad?", I asked.
"Mike don't give a **** abuot me! He just wants to get high and get laid. He doesn't care one bit about rehabbing me or fighting again! Kevin mcBride is gonna kill us!".
So there you have it. Straight from Tyson'scolon.

Other than vitali, byrd, williams who in the heavyweight divison today would have a chance of beating tyson? Jameel effing Mccline or w. klitshco or how bout freakin ruiz? I dont think so.
Ask yourself if former heavyweight champ George Foreman could make one of the most successful comebacks in boxing history why can't tyson. Before retiring in '77' foreman experienced so tought losses to Ali, young. So Mike Tyson has suffered some setbacks, I doesn't mean he's all done. Give him some credit, he hasn't even come close to hitting the lows holyfield has experienced.
