You know having to eat your own words after Mike Tyson unifies the division..

In order to unify the division, Mike may actually have to fight guys who can fight back a bit.

Do you how much Mike dreads that thought ?

      Tyson To Fight In Britain

"Mike Tyson to fight in Britain

      By David Smith, Evening Standard
      23 November 2004

Mike Tyson is set to fight in a British boxing ring for the first time in nearly five years.

Tyson, who was was beaten by London heavyweight Danny Williams in Louisville four months ago, is being lined up for a European tour. It would involve bouts in England and in Dublin, where he would be matched with Irish giant Kevin McBride.

Freddie Roach, Tyson's trainer, wants the 38-year-old American to have a series of comeback fights before making another challenge on a world title.

The former undisputed champion marked his debut in a British ring with a second-round stoppage of Julius Francis in January 2000. Five months later he returned to beat Lou Savarese inside one round in Glasgow. "

I think perhaps MIke can use some of his maturity against that...guys fighting back that is. He is older now than before. ANd I would hope more mature..BUt let's face it, I don't even think they'll want to put him in with a tittleholder for a bit..They want him to fight a few weak fighters, then slowly move up, and then fight a title holder, maybe at the end of next year, or early 2006.

This is necessary. Mike Tyson still has enormous debt to pay off and can still earn millions of dollars fighting, no matter who the opponent is. But any talk of him fighting for the championship is bull ****. He's barnstorming at this point. That's all.

So mike's flying over the pond to take on some Euro taxi drivers. I just hope he doesn't get beat. I'd like to see Tyson take on Holyfield again. Shoot! he might even win this time around if they were to meet.

Palma we would all like to see Holyfield-Tyson III but Holyfield
has everthing to lose and not much to gain by beating him, so IMO it would never happen.

Insofar as mike coming back to be a legimate contender, if his euro-tour pans out(if it really happens) I think his chances are very good. What I would love to see next year is a Tyson-Bowe match if both are sucessful in their comebacks.

None of you guys will touch my foreman argument.(if 45 yr old foreman can win back title, why can't mike) Very interesting.
