Comments Thread For: Usyk Wants To Fight Wilder, Plans To Be Ringside For Wilder-Helenius

Oleksandr Usyk apparently has no plans of riding off into the sunset if he cannot land an undisputed heavyweight title bout with Tyson Fury. The IBF, WBO, IBO and WBA unified heavyweight champion from Ukraine informed the Ring that he was interested in fighting former heavyweight titlist Deontay Wilder since it seems increasingly likely that his first choice, Fury, the WBC titlist, will be preoccupied with a fight with his countryman Anthony Joshua.

Haymon won't do it b/c there's more money in the UK vs Joshua, esp if the first fight isn't what people think it's going to be. Usyk can be touched based on the fights I've and I highly doubt he has Fury's punch resistance. Ukraine dossier is the odd man out with all the belts. The division is lights years better with AJ the main man.

Usyk is hilarious. Says he’s injured and needs time with his family, turns down December fight. That’s fine. Fury says he’s the real champ (he is) and he won’t wait on anybody, lines up a bigger money fight with Joshua for December. Usyk gets salty and feels left out, blames Fury which is laughable and now wants Wilder. He better be careful with Wilder. Usyk gets hit and if Wilder lands clean, Usyk won’t be getting up.

I don't think Usyk is salty but he wants to fight early next year as he said before but Fury probably wont be ready then because of the december fight. Wilder fight is dangerous but if Usyk wins that the Usyk-Fury fight could happen early next summer and that would decide the best HW of this era

This would be an easy win for Usyk. I don't think the PBC will allow it.

Its a good fight and everything but like, Fury beats Wilder repeatedly and Usyk beats AJ repeatedly and then they dont fight each other for unification but fight the guys that lost instead?
