Comments Thread For: Thurman on Spence: 'He Hasn't Fought Athletic, Crafty, Fast-Twitch [Fighters]'

Errol Spence Jr. may have a legitimate claim to being the best welterweight in the world, but for Keith Thurman, the Texan is sorely unproven in a few regards.

I'd seriously like to see Ortiz Jr or Boots humble "past time" Thurman

This is the dude who hasn't fought Spence on the same platform since 2016 b.c of fake yearly injuries and who said he needed a 10 million guarantee to fight Crawford. Why do people even listen to him anymore? Feed him to Ennis.

I guess Thurman didn't watch Spence fight Porter. Thurman is going to do whatever he can to get under the skin of Spence just in case Spence wins. Spence has said that he won't fight Thurman. Thurman likes money, and fame - not the sport. He's just positioning himself to force a fight with Spence, just in case Spence wins. Spence, if champion, will be the gateway to money and fame. He'll do whatever he can to get under the skin of Crawford too.

They should rename the division ‘duckweight’

He’s too old to compete now. He’s hoping for one more big payday. He won’t fight the young lions.

Keith! Get your ass back in the ring boy and remain active. If you do then I can guarantee you that your phone will be ringing with multiple offers and opportunities to fight the best names in the sport.

Also, your soap box is actually serving as a detriment to your career. They won't hear you unless they can see you in the ring fighting. The truth is you are idling your precious time away by pricing yourself out of potential fights while your body ages in the process.

So quit preaching and start fighting. The longer you stay out the ring the harder it's going to be for the movers and shakers in boxing to notice you. So stop seeking out these cash out fights so you can retire and just resume your boxing career.

“what I believe myself and Crawford bring to the table”. This guy has some audacity comparing his skills to Crawford. Keith is a front runner who isn’t half as good as Crawford.
