this is precisely why anyone who knows anything about this sport don’t have no time for eddie or respect. For a promoter he doesn’t posses any self awareness whatsoever. Seems to forget all the piss poor atrocious cards he’s had from top to bottom aswell.
A little bit like every single opponent Andrade faced whilst under Matchroom and DAZN.
pot. kettle. black.
Eddie throwing bricks from his glass house.
If Joshua comes up short to fury and decides to retire in the following 12 months, I actually fear for eddies mental health.
In the build up to Usyk/AJ 2, Eddie was crying about not being interviewed by Adam smith and not being spoken about enough along with other aspects.
He only got a slight taste of how it’s going to be and he had a meltdown. When Joshua finishes his career off, Eddie us right back to domestic dust ups like Benn - Eubank. His worldwide and mainly US Dreams will be in tatters.
His wife Chloe seems very pretentious and lacking any substance, so I doubt she will be there to support him. But seriously, it’s gonna hit him hard when the Lights dim on his career.Last edited by RoadMan94; 09-15-2022, 11:30 AM.Comment

Wrong. There was no way for Canelo to fight Charlo, because Charlo was a nobody that refused to step outside of PBC island. He had no choice but to vacate as Canelo actually had network obligations. PBC did not negotiate in good faith. You’re on crack if you think Haymon was willing to send Charlo to get stomped on DAZN for a Canelo payday instead of on his network. Haymon as per usual, cares more about his company than his fighters. Hiding or declining mega-paydays for his fighters is nothing new for him. As long as it doesn’t work as part of his grand strategy they can rot (as Charlo currently is) for all he cares.
And Charlo passing up 7mil for him and his family just to spite Andrade is just Lol.Last edited by Rebelrbg; 09-15-2022, 11:55 AM.Comment

Doesn't look good holding up your career for just one guy no matter which angle you look at it.
What happens if that one guy take a long layoff because of some unfortunate incident?
Would you continue to fight bums or try to do it on your own and not depend too much on just one guy?
Sounds ridiculous having to state these things. Funny part is that one guy doesn't even reside in the same street.Comment

Charlo never held his career up for Canelo. Cinnabon ran....very swiftly.....turning corners using a ducking motion with his franchise belt flapping in the wind. Charlo still continued to call for GGG, the unified champion refuses to take the fight from the him, even though he would need Charlo's belt to ever be undisputed. So, Jermall has fought his mandatory fights and the top ranked fighters in his sanctioning body of his belt waiting for a chance to unify or become undisputed before he moves up, which he has always said is his goal.
see this classic doe:
Is Charlo really just a damn good pretender?

The difference is Canelo was his mandatory. He did have a choice, the same choice that Charlo had, which is work it out with your promoters to put on a big fight. He chose to run, as usual, and except ,a never been done before, "franchise " belt to avoid a very dangerous threat.
You paint this narrative for PBC, yet when its DAZN fighters, they have "network obligations ", which is just the same thing your saying about PBC said differently.
Look at most of DAZN fighters like GGG, Zurdo, Mungia, etc. They pad up their records fighting bums and tomato cans, and the only way to fight for a championship is on DAZN.
Zurdo wouldn't be fighting Bivol if both fighters weren't under that network.
So, save the grandstanding about PBC, its all about which network will put the most in the promoters' pockets. I'm sure if Cinnabon really wanted to fight Charlo, he would have forced a joint venture between the companies.
He is at the top of the corruption mountain in boxing, so he can make it happen, but he won't because he refuses to fight a more athletically gifted boxer-puncher that has good footwork, fast hands, movement, an arsenal of punches, and a lot of power. It was too big of a risk then, and definitely now since he got his ass whooped already.
What we’ve learned here is that you accept that Charlo wont fight off PBC. Wouldn’t even do it as a contender for 3 belts vs the money man of the sport. You don’t know exactly why. But you’ve made up a reason why. It’s also cool that Charlo declined an offer of, what was it, over 10mil from GBP? You’re ok with this yes? Please confirm.Last edited by SplitSecond; 09-15-2022, 12:26 PM.Comment

Your bitchass couldn't help but to bring Canelo into this conversation, huh. Thread has nothing to do with Canelo and on the third post you already talking about him.Comment

I appreciate the female fights. Don't you ever run out of beer during the card and wish you had time to go get a brew and a bag of pretzels before the main fight?Last edited by Wacked_Out; 09-15-2022, 01:22 PM.Comment
