Boxers found to recover from brain damage

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/a...etirement.html

Interesting and welcome findings, but we know little about the test cases. At what age did they start boxing? How many fights? What were their weights? What was the extent of damage? Is there a threshold where recovery isn't possible?

Noticed Evander talking better lately, not Toney, though.

Still not much love for Fury, though

Most boxers who retire speak ok. Are you going to tell me David haye, Paul malinaggi or kitsch are punch drunk?

Sometimes slurred speech can derive from an excess of sugar in the blood, not only from the effects of punches. The same problem can cause progressive brain damage.

In the case of many fighters - especially heavyweights - who tend to get fat during and after their career such as Toney, those could be seriously worrying factors.
