Of course Joshua Is Overrated DUH. Anyone with one functioning eye and some sort of boxing intelligence could always see that.

Much like his personality he's manufactured, disingenuous, inauthentic. Joshua's career is like if you took the knock off store brand and put the higher quality brand name label over it and sold it to the blind, dumb masses (his fans).

Teddy "Bloated" Atlas isn't breaking news here or saying something no ones ever said about Joshua.

Probably over rated by casual fans but does anybody actually care about their opinions?

I think they had his neck at 20 inches. It's funny how the commentators always complemented his physique, saying he was quite a physical specimen and was always in shape. No one was putting down steroid use in those days, Hell, they didn't even mention it.

I disagree with that. I would say a fighter is overrated if he's touted as the next big thing, then gets beaten by unranked, mediocre fighters. Ruiz has only lost two fights, one of which was to Joshua himself. The other loss was to former champ Joseph Parker in a majority decision. Usyk is the former undisputed CW champion, current unified HW champion and is undefeated. Joshua gave him difficulty in their second fight and could possibly beat him with the right strategy. If he is "overrated", it's not by much.

Holyfield maintained his condition deep into the latter part of his career.

So that throws the notion that it was all down to performance enhancing drugs as nonsense to a certain extent.

            Holyfield was always in condition.

I have always maintained that Holyfield vs Tyson II, wow when both fighters weighed in at the exact same weight of 218 pounds.

Those two fighters for that fight, were two of the most highly conditioned Heavyweights ever.

Those opening rounds, the intensity, and processing speed of the fighters was on another level.

They were fighting like big middle-weights.

For me, it's the level to which the fighter is hyped to be the "Next Big Thing!" With Joshua and Lomachenko, it doesn't get any BIGGER, until they fell. A wise man once told me, it doesn't hurt as much falling out of a 3rd floor window, as it does falling out of the Penthouse! Joshua and Lomachenko fell from the Space Shuttle! Joshua was Ali and Foreman rolled into one, and Lomachenko was better than Floyd and Pacquiao put together!

Anyone who knows about juice and exercise knows that juice without exercise yields nothing. So, of course he was working out. But after he retired, he was tied to purchasing Steroids using the alias Evan Fields. Of course, he denied it. That said, he was a great fighter and no PED can make a fighter great, but they can enhance performance (pun intended).

Noted. But does that mean because AJ and Lomachenko lost that they were overrated, or does it point more to the fact that this is boxing and no one is invincible?

AJ has improved massively, from the hype job , dubois level fighter he was, but he has reached his ceiling and proved he can't beat any of the top 3. And is 50/50 with top 7 fighters like ruiz, Parker, Sanchez, Ortiz.
