Comments Thread For: Salita: Nobody Thinks Joshua Will Beat Fury - He Should Fight Wallin Next!

Dmitriy Salita, trainer for heavyweight contender Otto Wallin, feels strongly that Anthony Joshua should fight his man next. There are ongoing negotiations for a fight between Joshua and WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

Who gives a f**k about the monarchy. Don't people realise one of the main priorities of a monarchy is to suppress the people. Long live the King my ass he'll be dead soon too

Stop with the flag-shagging drivel, this is a boxing forum.

It's not a terrible fight but Wallin looked very ordinary recently against Sokolowski (who's built a reputation fighting UK HW prospects).

Nobody thinks Joshua will win, but it’s still a more interesting fight. More people would def rather see that than Otto Wallin. Lol.

doesn’t matter though. Fury AJ will NOT get made. Period.

Joshua couldn't beat Usyk, who is a smaller, and similar version of Fury, he doesn't stand a prayer versus the Gypsy King.
Otto Wallin hasn't done anything to build up his ranking since has titanic, albeit losing effort against Tyson Fury.
He posted two decent wins against winning fighters, and that with two more wins against nondescript fighters.
He's let a golden opportunity to make some serious inroads towards a title shot slip right through his hands.
If he would've followed up his two decent wins, with another pair of decent fighters, or been more active he could have been in a position to challenge for a title.
He hasn't beaten anyone in the top ten except for Dominic Breazeale, and that was almost 2 years ago, so what's all this talk about him now about.

Strange that Wallin's trainer would think Joshua shouldn't fight anyone better than Wallin, or anyone worse.

It's almost like he has a personal interest.

Usyk is a entirely different fighter to Fury.

Tyson Fury skill for skill, has not fought at elite level since the Wladimir Kiltschko fight.

Wilder was a elite level fight, but in terms of skill? It was not a elite level fight. It was the power, aggression and to a certain extent Wilder's Jab that Fury had to overcome.

I actually think Joshua has a substantial amount of more experience at elite and world class level in boxing.

But of course Tyson Fury is the favorite, no doubt about that.
