MMA isn’t “tougher” because they have tiny gloves. Since UFC’s start, there have been 0 deaths of UFC fighters cause by a fight. In that same span there has been 42 deaths in pro boxing, at least that have been recorded.

Hands are more protected = You can punch harder, more effectively.

Hands are less protected = You need to be careful not to break your hands, wrist. You can’t consistently punch straight/effectively. This makes your punches weaker.

tl;dr: Nate Diaz is used to taking MMA punches. He isn’t used to taking boxing punches. Two completely different beasts altogether.
This is a very direct to the point yet effective statement but also WHY boxing needs to go away from padded gloves (will never happen thou) being able to throw more effective punches more often is why fighters are getting puglista dementia.

Easy, easy win for the YouTuber.
Nate is NOT a boxer. If he was he wouldn’t of stayed in mma making chump change.

Agreed. The padded 8 Oz gloves that pros use are ridiculous. They are pretty much mini bricks. I don’t know how men can constantly take head shots from those things.

Nate gets hit too much and will walk into getting KOed, I think it would be an easy fight for Jake and a really bad KO for Nate, that man been punched in the head too many times.

Nate is one dimensional with the hands and has slow feet. Tough for sure but I see him getting hit a lot and Jake can crack a little bit. Would be a fun fight either way but Diaz shouldn’t hold his breath. I see Jake losing to Silva and rematching him.

I would comfortably pick Paul to kick Diaz' ass in a boxing match.

Diaz cant even punch properly with bare fists lol. His punches wouldnt do much damage with boxing gloves.

No - ex-MMA guys with questionable striking skills are not the answer to the Paul "problem".

Reeling these MMA guys into the boxing ring is the perfect strategy.

They look tough but basically turn into punching bags in the squared circle.

Plus they get paid better against Paul, so it's easy to get them to sign the contracts.

MMA gloves are much easier to KO someone with. You put someone like Beterbiev or GGG in 4oz gloves and they're going to be clean one shot KO'ing people within the first 2-3 rounds constantly.

The main reason boxing is more dangerous is because the rules allow a fighter to take much more accumulated damage to the head/brain without the fight ending.
